Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily wash the coffee grounds adhered to and accumulated on a filtering cloth installed to the bottom part of a funnel-shaped coffee-making upper vessel having a riser by providing a water injecting means for injecting water upward on the inside of a bottomed water receiver having a draining means. SOLUTION: The upper end of a draining pipe 2 is opened to the bottom surface of a bottomed water receiver 1, and a feed pipe 3 is opened to about the center of the bottom surface thereof. A water injecting pipe 5 communicating with the feed pipe 3 is provided on the inside of such a water receiver 1. The water injecting pipe 5 is formed into a cylinder having a diameter smaller than the inside diameter of a funnel-shaped coffee-making upper vessel 6 to be used, and it has a plurality of injecting holes 7 on the upper surface. In washing operation, the vessel 6 is situated so that its bottom surface is opposed to the upper surface of the water injecting pipe 5, and a valve 4 is opened. Then, water is passed through the water injecting pipe 5 and injected upward from the injecting holes 7 to wash away the coffee grounds adhered to a filtering cloth 8 to the bottom surface of the water receiver 1 by the hydraulic pressure.
