Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a capacity of a spreading device by facilitating operation for moving a slide glass after the completion of spreading to a dryer and a dyeing treatment device, by making a spreading plate freely detachable with respect to a container to use the same as a slide transport jig. SOLUTION: A metal spreading plate 2a is freely detachable with respect to a container 1 and placed on the step part 9 formed to the inner surface of the side wall of the container 1 to be stably placed on the container 1. A heater 10 is provided to the container 1 to heat the spreading plate 2a placed on the container 1. Hot water is charged in the container to make it possible to also heat the spreading plate 2a. Further, the heater 10 can be also attached to the spreading plate 2a. A heat insulating handle 11 made of plastic or the like is attached to the end surface of the spreading plate 2a to make the spreading plate 2a easy to carry. By this constitution, the preading plate 2a on which slide glass having a sample spread thereon is placed is placed on the container 1 and a current is supplied to the heater 10 to heat the spreading plate 2a and, when the strain of a thin cut sample is removed, the handle 11 is held to detach the spreading plate 2a to be moved to a dryer or a dyeing treatment device as it is.

2. Description of the Related Art To prepare a microscope specimen, a sample is immersed in molten paraffin, cooled and solidified to slice the sample together with a paraffin mass, and the sliced sample is attached to a slide glass, deparaffinized, and stained. The specimen is covered with a cover glass after the processing, and the stretcher is used during this processing. That is, when the sample embedded in the solid paraffin as described above is sliced, the sliced sample is spirally wound. When this is put in water, the sliced sample becomes a flat plate, so pick it up and place it on a slide glass, and further place it on an extender to remove distortion such as deformation and shrinkage that occurred in the sample at the time of thinning, The sliced sample is heated together with the slide glass.

With this configuration, the extension plate 2a on which the slide glass with the sample is placed is placed on the body 1, and the heater 10 is energized to heat the extension plate 2a to remove the distortion of the sliced sample. For example, the extension plate 2a is detached from the body 1 by holding the handle 11, and is directly moved to a dryer or a dyeing process. If the dryer is formed so that the extension plate 2a on which the slide glass is placed can be stored as it is, the operation of further transferring the slide glass is unnecessary, and labor and work time can be significantly reduced. The dryer is of a conventional type in which the extension plate 2a cannot be inserted as it is, and even if the slide glass is transferred here, the labor and time required for transferring the slide glass are half that of the conventional case.

FIGS. 6 and 7 show that the extension plate 2 has a plurality of inclined surfaces 2.
An example of an extender formed by paralleling c is shown. The slide glass 3 is placed on the inclined surface 2c and heated, but if the end is slightly protruded from the top of the inclined surface, picking up after the heating is completed is easy. Even if the size of the inclined surface 2c is such that the end of the slide glass does not protrude, the pickup can be easily performed by slightly moving the slide glass. If the top of the inclined surface is slightly flattened, it becomes easier to put a finger on it, and it becomes easier to take up the slide glass.
The direction of the inclined surface row may be a horizontal direction or a vertical direction. This extension plate can also be formed in a divided manner. FIG. 8 shows one extension plate 2d divided into widths forming a slope and to which a handle 11 is attached.

The solution to the problem (3) is to incline the extension plate 2 in the vertical direction, the horizontal direction or both directions. For this purpose, the thickness of the extension plate is made constant and the height of the body 1 is made uneven, and it is inclined. The height of the body is constant and the thickness of the extension plate is changed. The extension plate can be inclined by interposing a height adjusting mechanism such as a bolt for changing the length of projection from the container by rotation between the body and the extension plate.
