Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.複数の撚られたワイヤ対(13)を含むツイストペアケーブル(11)、前 記複数のツイストワイヤ対を囲むケーブルジャケット、及び前記ケーブル組立体 の各端部の電気コネクタ(10)を有し、各対(13)は前記ケーブルの端部近 傍のケーブル部分を除いて前記ケーブル(11)の長さに渡って一定の撚り長さ を有し、前記コネクタ(10)の少なくとも1個は1対の相互に嵌まり合うハウ ジング部材(18,20)、前記ハウジング部材間に配置されて前記ケーブルの 前記個々のワイヤと電気的接触をする複数の隣接する電気端子(14)を有し、 該端子は前記ハウジング部材の実質的に一端(12)に配列されており、前記ケ ーブルは前記ハウジング部材に逆端(26)から挿入される、高速伝送ネットワ ークに用いられるパッチコードケーブル組立体において、 前記ハウジング部材(20)は前記端部(12,26)の中間のケーブルジャ ケット停止部(90)、及び前記ケーブルジャケット停止部(90)と前記一端 (12)との間の複数の離隔したポスト(86)を含み、それにより前記被覆さ れたケーブルは前記一方のハウジング部材に供給され前記ジャケットの前記端部 は、各ツイストワイヤ対(13)が前記一端(12)の方へ連続した状態で、前 記離隔したポスト(86)により案内されて間隔、曲げ半径、各対の長さが制御 されて前記ケーブルジャケット停止部(90)に着座し、前記個々のワイヤの各 端部は位置決めされて対応する前記電気端子(14)に成端されることを特徴と するパッチコードケーブル組立体。 2.前記ハウジング部材の他方(18)は、前記一方のハウジング部材の対応す る凹部(78,80)とラッチ係合する複数のラッチアーム(28,30)を有 することを特徴とする請求項1のパッチコードケーブル組立体。 3.前記他方のハウジング部材は、前記ハウジング部材のラッチ係合の間、前記 ケーブルジャケットと係合するストレインリリーフ部材(64)を含むことを特 徴とする、請求項2のパッチコードケーブル組立体。 4.前記電気端子(14)は、圧接技法によって前記ワイヤを成端する為の分か れたビーム状の接続端部(34)を含むことを特徴とする請求項2のパッチコー ドケーブル組立体。 5.前記電気端子(14)の前記対向端は、分かれたビーム状コンタクト列を有 する相補型電気コネクタと嵌合する垂直向きのブレード部(36)を含むことを 特徴とする、請求項4のパッチコードケーブル組立体。 6.選択された対の前記個々のワイヤは、前記ジャケット停止部(90)から前 記個々のワイヤの成端部まで撚り合わせ状態に維持されることを特徴とする、請 求項1のパッチコードケーブル組立体。 7.前記一方のハウジング部材(20)は、斜面(76)を含み、成端後、前記 個々のワイヤ端は前記斜面に沿って切り揃えられることを特徴とする、請求項1 のパッチコードケーブル組立体。 8.前記電気端子(14)は、垂直に配列されたブレード部(36)、前記成端 端部(34)、及びその間に延びるシャンク部(38)を含み、前記シャンク部 は、前記分かれたビーム状成端端部のスロット(42)と整列されることを特徴 とする、請求項4のパッチコードケーブル組立体。 9.複数の電気端子(14)の列が在り、隣接する前記端子の前記シャンク部( 38)は、前記ブレード部(36)の頂部と底部が交互になっていることを特徴 とする、請求項8のパッチコードケーブル組立体。 10.前記組立体は、前記ケーブルジャケットワイヤの対向側に作用する、スト レインリリーフ(64,92)を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1のパッチコー ドケーブル組立体。
