As is apparent from the above description, in the planar heating element of the present invention, the conductive electrode strip (conductive wire group, conductive strip) is braided together with the fiber yarn to form a woven fabric. Therefore, the electrode strip does not protrude to the outside from the woven fabric serving as the heat generating portion, and does not rub against an external member and break before the other parts. Moreover, since the electrode band occupies only a small portion of the whole woven fabric and the fiber yarn occupies most of the woven fabric, the sheet heating element of the present invention has excellent flexibility like a woven fabric, and a curvature. In addition, since carbon-based conductive materials are attached to the woven fabric and these are heated by energization, the temperature can be easily controlled at lower cost than in the conventional example using carbon fibers. 【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 織布を構成する縦繊維糸或いは横繊維糸
の一部として、狭幅の可撓性を有する導電性電極帯体を
所定間隔を置いて複数帯配設して該繊維糸と共に織成
し、このようにして織成された織布にカーボン系の導電
材を付着させ、これらカーボン系導電材の上下両面を電
気絶縁性被覆材で被覆し、該各電極帯体の端部に電極端
子を取り付けてなることを特徴とする面状発熱体。
