のフィルムは成形品及び板材の外周部や孔部といった、
フィルムが不要な部分にまで及んでしまう。よって製品
完成のためにはこのフィルムの不要部分を切除する必要
があり、この切除作業を一般にトリミングと呼んでい
る。該トリミングは例えば特開平9−136298号に
示すような、上型と該上型に備えたトリミング刃、及び
成形品を載置する下型からなるトリミング装置により従
来から行われていた。

計寸法よりも実際の成形品の孔が大きいと切れ残しやバ
リが発生し、逆に設計寸法よりも実際の成形品の孔が小
さいと成形品を傷つけることになった。
