Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing joint, which is used for closing a pipe end in gas pipe arranging construction and can safely and surely cut off a gas pipe. SOLUTION: A sealing joint is constructed of a body part 23, which is connected to a pipe end and provided with a diaphragm 22 integrally formed inside it, a hole saw 24, which is screwed to the body part 23 retractably so as to bore the diaphragm 22, a spigot 25, which is protruded sideward from the body part 23 and formed integrally with the body part 23, and a cap 26, which is screwed to the body part end so as to cut off the body part end. The sealing joint is installed to the pipe end in the last process of gas pipe arranging work so as to close the pipe end, and the pipe is buried back after its pipe end is closed. For connecting a pipe, the periphery of the joint is dug up so that the sealing joint is exposed, and then, a pipe is connected to the spigot end. Subsequently, the cap 26 in the body part end is removed and the hole saw 24 is twisted in so as to bore the diaphragm 22, and after boring, the hole saw 24 is pulled up.

2. Description of the Related Art In a pipe such as a gas pipe, a pipe end is usually blinded by attaching a cap until use. In recent years, plastic pipes have been frequently used for gas pipes and the like in terms of earthquake resistance and workability. Taking a gas pipe as an example of piping work using plastic pipes, when drawing a gas pipe from a main pipe to a residential land, after excavating from the main pipe to the residential land, as shown in FIG. 2 and branch pipe 3
And the cap joint 4 is attached to the end of the pipe in the residential land by heat fusion or electric fusion and then backfilled. When the house is constructed and the branch pipe 3 is connected to the pipe connected to the house side, the branch pipe 3 is squeezed by using a squeeze-off tool 5 as shown in FIG. Was cut off, then the branch pipe 3 between the squeeze-off tool and the cap joint was cut, and then connected by heat fusion or electro fusion with the pipe 6 on the house side and the socket joint 7. Thereafter, the squeeze-off tool 5 is removed to supply gas. In addition, as shown in FIG. 3, a tubular body 12 connected to the end of the branch pipe 3 via an elbow joint 11 and provided with a seat therein as shown in FIG. When,
A seal plug 16 provided with a packing 15 which is screwed to the body 12 and can be advanced and retracted and presses against the seat 13 to seal, and a spigot projecting laterally from the body 12 and connected to a pipe; 17, a cap 18 attached to the end of the spigot, and a cap 19 attached to the end of the body. When a pipe is connected to the spigot 17, the seal plug is screwed into the spigot 17 and pressed against the seat 13 to seal the pipe. A joint in which a cap 18 at a spigot end is removed to connect a pipe is also known (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 8-178166).

In the case where the pipe end is blinded by a cap as shown in FIG. 1, when connecting the pipe in use, the pipe is squeezed off using a squeeze-off tool and then the branch pipe is cut. Work is needed. In addition, when squeezing off a branch pipe and then cutting it and connecting it with a socket joint, a space for this is necessary, and in places where there is not enough space, for example, when connecting gas pipes, a fixed length Excavation work is required to expose the pipe,
A house is built near the border, and on the site on the space,
When the excavation work for performing the pipe connection work described above cannot be performed or when other pipes are in the way, the connection work cannot be performed.

[0004] As shown in FIG. 3, when the end of a branch pipe is blinded by a joint having a seal plug, when connecting the pipe, gas or the like can be shut off without performing squeeze-off. It is only necessary to loosen the seal plug to retreat it and pull it away from the seat, and it is easy to perform the work.It is sufficient if there is space for connecting work only around the seal joint, and it is buried underground. In this case, only the joints need to be dug up and raised, which has the effect of being able to be used in places where there is not much space. However, in order to completely block gas etc. Precision is required. An object of the present invention is to provide a joint for sealing capable of completely and reliably shutting off gas and the like.

The sealing joint of the present invention is therefore
A tubular body connected to the pipe end and provided with a partition wall or a diaphragm for blocking, a hole saw that is screwed to the body portion to be able to advance and retreat, and a hole saw that perforates the partition wall or the diaphragm; And a spigot to which the pipe is connected, and attached to the body end,
When connecting a pipe to a spigot, the pipe is connected to the spigot through a socket joint or by butt fusion, and then a hole saw is screwed into the spigot to pierce the partition wall or the diaphragm. After the perforation, the hole saw is rotated in a loosening direction to retract and the gas or the like is passed.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS A sealing joint 21 shown in FIG.
For example, it is used for gas piping work as shown in FIG. 1, and is connected to a branch pipe (not shown) via an elbow joint and has a body 23 integrally formed with a diaphragm 22 therein, and a body 2.
3, a hole saw 24 for perforating the diaphragm 22, a side saw protruding from the body 23, and a spigot 25 integrally formed with the body, and screwed to the end of the body,
It consists of a cap 26 that blocks the end of the trunk. At the end of the plumbing work, the seal joint 21 is attached to the end of the branch pipe to make it blind, and then reinserted. According to this joint, gas and the like are shut off by the diaphragm 22 simply by attaching the seal joint 21. When connecting a pipe (not shown) on the house side to the end of the spigot, the periphery of the joint is dug and the sealing joint 21 is cut.
After exposing the pipe, the pipe is connected to the end of the spigot via a socket joint or by butt fusion in the same manner as described above, the cap 26 is removed, and the hole saw 24 is screwed in with a tool.
The diaphragm 22 is pierced. After the perforation, the hole saw 24 is rotated in a loosening direction and pulled up to a solid line position shown in the drawing. This allows gas to pass through the tube connected to the spigot end.

According to the sealing joint of the present embodiment, it is possible to completely seal the structure only by connecting to the end of the branch pipe, and when gas is desired to flow, the diaphragm may be perforated with a hole saw. Although a cap for blocking the end of the spigot is basically unnecessary, it is preferable to simply seal the spigot so that earth and sand do not enter the spigot when the spigot is backfilled.

According to the joint for sealing of the present invention, the pipe end is blinded only by being attached to the pipe end, and a complete sealing effect can be obtained by the partition wall or the diaphragm. No work is required to shut off
Also, when flowing gas, etc., it is necessary to screw the hole saw into the partition wall or the diaphragm, and after drilling, simply rotate the hole saw in the loosening direction and retract it, so that work can be easily performed, only around the joint for sealing. It suffices if there is a space for the connection work, and even if it is buried in the ground, it is only necessary to dig up the joint part, so that it is possible to use it even in a place where there is not much space.
