Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a woody material efficiently by using a relatively simple apparatus which is capable of highly compact molding and does not need a complex mechanism and high precision control. SOLUTION: A longitudinally endless woody material can be produced without damaging belts 11, 12 by tension by a process in which with an admixture A of a woody material and a binder held between upper and lower belts 11, 12 which can move freely in the longitudinal direction, by a press 5 which can reciprocate along the belts 11, 12, an action in which the admixture A is moved in a prescribed direction while being press/heated through the belts 11, 12 and an action in which a press is lifted after molding and the admixture A is moved reversely are repeated.

2. Description of the Related Art A wood-based material obtained by bonding pieces of wood material such as a wooden stick with a binder such as a thermosetting adhesive is generally prepared by mixing a piece of wood material with a binder and laminating the mixture. Pressing and heating in the step S1 to solidify the binding material. In the solidification step, generally, the binder is heated and hardened by heat transfer from the hot plate by pressing the laminate of the mixture with the hot plate, but in recent years, in the production of a thick molded product, steam or the like has been used. A method of using a microwave to heat the inside at a high speed to harden the binder is also employed.

[0003] As a method of pressing in the solidifying step of a binder, a mixture of a wood material piece and a binder is conventionally intermittently laminated in a predetermined size on a press using a hot plate. Then, the above mixture is continuously pressurized by using a so-called belt press apparatus in which a method of hot-press molding in a batch manner and a method of sandwiching a pressurized object between upper and lower endless belts and press-molding the same. A method of heating is known.

Among the above-mentioned conventional methods of manufacturing a wood-based material by solidifying a binder, the method of intermittently supplying an admixture with a predetermined size to a press device involves a molding method. Not only is the size of the product limited by the size of the hot platen of the press device, but it is necessary to trim the end faces after molding, which is problematic in terms of manufacturing efficiency.

On the other hand, in the method using the belt press device, there is no problem in the size of the molded product, and it can be manufactured efficiently. However, since the entire belt is pressed during molding, a high tension acts on the belt. For this reason, a thick belt is used in terms of strength, and the diameter of the driving roll of the belt is correspondingly increased, and the device becomes huge. Therefore, there is a problem that high-pressure dense molding is difficult. Another problem in the belt press device is that when performing steam injection heating, it is necessary to provide an injection hole in the belt, which causes a reduction in belt strength. Further, since the belt is generally made of metal from the viewpoint of strength, there is a problem that heating by microwaves is difficult.

On the other hand, the apparatus described in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 55-85824 has a structure in which a load is dispersed by using a plurality of roll presses in order to enable high-pressure dense molding. The apparatus has a problem in that an extremely complicated mechanism is required, such as arranging a large number of press rollers and a drive mechanism thereof inside the traveling locus of the infinite plate chain.

Further, according to the apparatus described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 5-57084, high-precision control for synchronizing the belt conveyor and the press is required to move the press and the press at exactly the same speed. Otherwise, a high tension is generated on the belt due to frictional resistance between the admixture and the steam injection plate, causing a problem of durability.

(Operation) According to the present invention, while the mixture of the wood material pieces and the binder is sandwiched between the upper and lower belts, the press device is pressed and heated together with each belt by the press device. Is transported in one direction by the movement of. Therefore, the pressing force of the pressing device acts only on the belt and the admixture, and high-pressure dense molding can be performed without applying a load to other parts.

Moreover, each belt is movable in the longitudinal direction, but has no original drive mechanism for transport, and moves together with the admixture or the solidified product with the movement of the press device during the pressing. Therefore, the resistance at the time of movement is small, and a high load does not act on the belt or its winding mechanism. Therefore, since a relatively low-strength material such as a nonmetal or a net can be used as a material for the belt, high-speed heating means such as steam injection or microwaves can be used, and a long wooden material can be used. Efficient molding becomes possible.

As described above, according to the present invention, the mixture of the wood material pieces and the binder is sandwiched between vertically movable belts, and the mixture is pressurized and heated together with the belt by a pressing device. At the same time as molding, the operation of moving the press device in one direction to move the molded article together with the belt, and the operation of releasing the press of the press device after molding and moving only the press device in the opposite direction are repeated. Therefore, the pressing force of the pressing device is not applied to the device components other than the belt and the object to be pressed, and the high-pressure dense molding can be performed. In addition, the pressing device and the belt or the mixture or the molded product Since the resistance is low and the load is small, relatively low-strength materials such as wire mesh and fiber reinforced resin can be used for the belt, and high-speed heating means such as steam injection and microwave heating can be used. It becomes possible to use, can be produced a long article efficiently.

1. A method for producing a woody material in which a mixture of a woody material piece and a binding material is pressurized and heated to produce a woody material in which the woody material pieces are combined with a binding material, and is movable in a longitudinal direction. While the mixture is continuously sandwiched between the upper and lower belts, the mixture is pressurized and heated together with the belt using a press device capable of reciprocating in the longitudinal direction of the belt to form and solidify the mixture. The operation of moving the pressing device in the direction and the operation of moving the pressing device in the opposite direction to the above in a state where the pressing of the pressing device is released are repeated, thereby continuously forming a long wood-based material. Continuous production method for wood-based materials.
