Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store or transport fruits without damage and deterioration of the quality even in case of a long distance-transportation, by providing at least one hole in an air-cushion foil bag used for transportation or storage of articles such as fruits contained in a container. SOLUTION: Two perforations-holes 2 are formed on respective faces of an air-cushion foil bag 1 in which a number of air-cushions 3 are formed both vertically and laterally. Although these holes 2 are arranged without respect to the position of the air cushions 3 of the air-cushion foil bag 1, the holes 2 having about 10 mm diameter are preferably formed at the upper part of about one third of the bag. The air-cushion foil bag 1 is produced by welding the joints 4 of the air-cushion foil. When fruits such as bananas are contained in the air-cushion foil bag 1 with such holes 2, a gas such as ethylene generated in the bag can be effectively discharged into the circulation air flow to prevent overheating.

2. Description of the Related Art As is well known, when fruits and the like are transported over a long distance, particularly when bananas are transported, the transported object, that is, the banana, is susceptible to the effects of heat and cold. In addition, there are problems such as easy moisture retention and the problem that the gas generated from the transported material is difficult to permeate with the commonly used transport materials.
For this reason, ethylene is generated during transportation in bananas and the like, and the conventional means of transportation cannot discharge this ethylene well, and when it can be discharged, a large amount of water is simultaneously lost from the banana.

[0003] The above-mentioned problem is caused by replacing the cardboard boxes conventionally used for transporting fruits and tropical fruits with environmentally friendly reusable plastic containers and other containers made of suitable materials. This is especially true as a result of the increasing use of garbage as a measure to reduce the amount of garbage. For example, when transporting bananas on an ocean-going vessel, the bananas are placed in plastic bags, which are further loaded into corresponding plastic containers. In this case, the plastic container has excellent stability, and the banana itself is wrapped in a foil (thin film), so that the above-described problems are highly likely to occur.

According to the present invention, an air cushion foil bag is provided on which bananas to be transported are placed. In this case, the air cushion foil bag is perforated (punched). The shape, number,
The distribution state can be changed according to the use situation. In consideration of the purpose, it is preferable that four perforations having a diameter of about 10 mm are provided in the upper third of the air cushion foil bag. It does not need to be attached to the part.

With the air cushion foil bag with perforations according to the invention, the problems which occur in the prior art can be surprisingly easily avoided. As an example,
When bananas are packaged in the perforated air cushion foil bag of the present invention, air circulation can be created inside the foil package, ie, between fruits. The circulation of air not only effectively cools the transported object but also heats the transported object. In this case, since the cooling and the heating can be appropriately adjusted by the corresponding blower, even if the temperature suddenly drops in the transportation environment, the temperature can be immediately returned to the appropriate temperature. Further, the use of the perforated air cushion foil bag can effectively eliminate ethylene generated in the packing material during transport and gas created by other transported products. In this case, the air cushion foil bag itself has a function of protecting the transported object from cold and heat, and also has a function of protecting the transported object from being damaged by pressure due to the effect of the cushion. Therefore, it is possible to avoid damage to the banana which is a transported object.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The features of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings: FIG. 1 shows an air cushion foil bag 1 with perforations 2. FIG. 2 is a view showing a cross section of the air cushion foil bag with perforations shown in FIG. 1, in which substantially the same elements as those in FIG. 1 are displayed. In this embodiment, two perforations, that is, two perforations 2 are provided on each surface of the air cushion foil bag 1. As can be seen from FIG. 1, the perforations 2 are arranged irrespective of the position of the air cushion 3 of the air cushion foil bag 1. In the illustrated embodiment, the diameter is about 10 mm.
The perforations 2 are arranged at about 1/3 above the four bags. The arrangement and the shape of the perforations 2 vary mainly depending on the application at the time. In the case of the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the air cushion foil bag 1 is made of a conventional air cushion foil. In this case, the air cushion foil has a width of 2 m and a length of 80 cm, but it is needless to say that other shapes different from this may be considered. The air cushion foil bag 1 itself is manufactured by welding the above-described air cushion foil at the joint 4, but other joining techniques such as sewing and adhesion may be used.

When a fruit such as a banana is stored in an air cushion foil (thin film) bag provided with a perforation (perforation) 2, gas such as ethylene generated in the bag is effectively transported or stored during the storage of the bag. It can escape from the perforation into the circulating airflow and prevent overheating. The air cushion bag protects the transported object from heat and cold, and also effectively protects fruits and the like from damage due to external force.
