Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate switching to maintenance running for maintenance and inspection without getting on a car by installing a maintenance running changeover switch used for maintenance and inspection in an elevator landing side. SOLUTION: A maintenance running changeover switch 21 is provided in a part of entrance/exit frame 4 having a landing button 11 to be installed in a signal connection box or a part thereof provided in the backside of the entrance/exit frame 4. The maintenance running changeover switch 21 is connected to an elevator controller via a cable equipped with a connector and covered with a landing button cover 6 from a landing side. The landing button cover 6 is removed from the landing side and, when the maintenance running changeover switch 21 is operated to switch to maintenance running, the operation is performed by removing the landing button cover 6 from the landing side. Thus, switching is made from the landing side to maintenance running by avoiding a maintenance engineer from getting on the car for maintenance and inspection.
