Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.CO機能を有するポリペプチドをコードするヌクレオチド配列を含む核酸単 離物。 2.前記ヌクレオチド配列が、アラビドプシス・タリアナ(Arabidopsis thal iana) のCO遺伝子もしくは他の植物種からのCO相同体、又は前記遺伝子もしくは 相同体の変異体、誘導体もしくは対立遺伝子のヌクレオチド配列であることを特 徴とする請求項1に記載の核酸。 3.前記COヌクレオチド配列が図1に示される配列であることを特徴とする請 求項2に記載の核酸。 4.前記CO相同体がブラシカ(Brassica)からのものであることを特徴とする 請求項2に記載の核酸。 5.前記CO相同体ヌクレオチド配列が図5又は図6に示される配列であること を特徴とする請求項4に記載の核酸。 6.前記ヌクレオチド配列の発現がトランスジェニック植物において開花を遅 らせることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の核酸。 7.前記ヌクレオチド配列によりコードされるポリペプチドが野生型CO又は野 生型CO相同体の変異体又は誘導体であり、そして前記ヌクレオチド配列の発現が 植物において開花を遅らせることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の核酸。 8.前記ヌクレオチド配列によりコードされるポリペプチドが野生型CO又は野 生型CO相同体の変異体又は誘導体であり、そして前記ヌクレオチド配列の発現が 植物において開花を促進することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の核酸。 9.前記ヌクレオチド配列の発現がトランスジェニック植物にお いて開花を促進することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の核酸。 10.植物において変異体表現型を補足することができるポリペプチドをコード するヌクレオチド配列を含む核酸単離物であって、前記表現型が遅れた開花であ り、該開花の時期が春化により実質的に影響を受けないことを特徴とする核酸単 離物。 11.開花の時期に影響を与える能力を有するポリペプチドをコードする野生型 遺伝子の変異体又は誘導体であるヌクレオチド配列を含む核酸単離物であって、 前記変異体又は誘導体の表現型が、その開花の時期が春化により実質的に影響を 受けない遅れた又は早い開花であることを特徴とする核酸単離物。 12.前記ポリペプチドの発現のための調節配列を更に含むことを特徴とする請 求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の核酸。 13.誘導可能プロモーターを含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の核酸。 14.前記プロモーターがグルタチオン−S−トランスフェラーゼ、イソホーム IIの27kDサブユニットのためのトウモロコシ遺伝子から得られることを特徴とす る請求項13に記載の核酸。 15.請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載のコーディング配列又は該コーディング配 列のフラグメントに相補的なヌクレオチド配列を含むことを特徴とする核酸単離 物。 16.前記ヌクレオチド配列又はそのフラグメントが、該ヌクレオチド配列又は そのフラグメントのアンチセンス転写のための調節配列の制御下であることを特 徴とする請求項1〜12又は請求項15のいずれか一に記載のDNA である核酸。 17.誘導可能プロモーターを含むことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の核酸。 18.前記プロモーターがグルタチオン−S−トランスフェラーゼ、イソホーム IIの27kDサブユニットのためのトウモロコシ遺伝子から得られることを特徴とす る請求項17に記載の核酸。 19.植物細胞の形質転換のために適し、先の請求項のいずれか一に記載の核酸 を含むことを特徴とする核酸ベクター。 20.先の請求項のいずれかに記載の核酸を含む植物細胞。 21.そのゲノム内に異種の前記核酸を有することを特徴とする請求項20に記載 の植物細胞。 22.半数体ゲノム当り1超の前記ヌクレオチド配列を有することを特徴とする 請求項21に記載の植物細胞。 23.請求項20〜22のいずれか一に記載の植物細胞を含む植物。 24.請求項23に記載の植物の自家もしくは雑種の子孫又は後代、又は種子のよ うな前記植物、子孫もしくは後代のいずれか一部もしくは零余子。 25.植物の開花特性に影響を与える方法であって、該方法が、前記植物の細胞 内の核酸から、請求項1〜14のいずれかに記載の核酸によりコードされるポリペ プチドの発現を引きおこす、又は該発現を許容することを含むことを特徴とする 方法。 26.植物の開花特性に影響を与える方法であって、該方法が、前記植物の細胞 内において、請求項1〜14のいずれか一に記載の核酸からの転写を引きおこす又 は該転写を許容することを含むことを特徴とする方法。 27.植物の開花特性に影響を与える方法であって、該方法が、植物の細胞内に おいて、請求項15〜18のいずれか一に記載の核酸からのアンチセンス転写を引き おこす又は該転写を許容することを含むことを特徴とする方法。 28.アラビドプシス・タリアナ以外の植物種からCO相同体を同定 及びクローニングする方法であって、該方法が、図1に示される配列から得られ るヌクレオチド配列を用いることを特徴とする方法。 29.請求項28に記載の方法により得られるCO相同体をコードする核酸。 30.図5又は図6に示されるヌクレオチド配列を含むことを特徴とする請求項 29に記載の核酸。 31.アラビドプシス・タリアナ以外の植物種からCO相同体を同定及びクローニ ングする方法であって、該方法が、図5又は図6に示される配列から得られるヌ クレオチド配列を用いることを特徴とする方法。 32.請求項31に記載の方法により得られるCO相同体をコードする核酸。
