In particular, in equipment that handles molten metal that is highly corrosive as described above, the molten metal corrodes the metal duct, so it is necessary to use a ceramic duct that has high corrosion resistance but is easily damaged. The above electromagnetic pump is not suitable as a pump for pumping such molten metal.

As shown in (a) and (b), a gas lift pump in which a gas pipe and a gas nozzle GN are attached to a lower part of a metal duct D is already known. In this gas lift pump, a gas G is ejected from a gas nozzle GN into a fluid, and an ascending flow is generated that pushes up the liquid with the rise of the gas G, thereby pumping up the liquid.

It will be clogged. In order to solve such a problem, for example, a gas must be flowed in advance or a gas lift pump must be immersed in the molten metal while applying gas pressure so that the molten metal does not enter the gas nozzle GN or the gas pipe. . However, by doing so, the gas nozzle GN
In addition, it is possible to prevent the molten metal from flowing into the gas pipe, but in this case, the molten metal is pumped immediately after the immersion of the pump. However, the position of the gutter or the container at the pump outlet also needs to be moved up and down in accordance with the pump position, which makes it difficult to arbitrarily start or end the operation of the pump.

That is, it is composed of a ceramic inner tube 21 and a ceramic outer tube 22. An annular passage 23 is formed between the inner ceramic tube 21 and the outer ceramic tube 22, and gas G flows through the annular passage 23. The gas G is preferably an inert gas in order to prevent oxidation of the molten metal, and for example, a nitrogen (N2) gas or an argon (Ar) gas is preferable.

That is, the lower end of the ceramic outer tube 22 is formed so as to extend inward, and the front end thereof is opposed to the lower end of the ceramic inner tube 21.
An annular gap is formed between them, thereby forming an annular gas ejection nozzle 24. As is apparent from the figure, a tapered surface is formed at each of the lower end extension of the ceramic inner tube 21 and the lower end of the ceramic inner tube 21 so that the above-described annular gas ejection nozzle 24 is formed. Means that the gas G is ejected upward with respect to the central axis of the ceramic duct 20.

A high-pressure gas G from a pump or the like not shown is introduced from a part of the metal bellows 27. For example, when trying to pump molten metal by this pump, the supplied bellows 27 is extended by the supplied high-pressure gas G, and pushes the ceramic inner tube 21 upward with respect to the ceramic outer tube 22. Thereby, the annular gas ejection nozzle 24 formed at the lower end of the ceramic duct 20 automatically opens,
From this, the inert gas G is supplied into the liquid molten metal.
Then, the injected inert gas rises upward in the ceramic inner tube 21, and the molten gas is pushed upward by the rise of the gas. That is, the molten metal is driven upward in the ceramic duct 20 and is pushed up.

The annular gas ejection nozzle 24 at the lower end of the ceramic duct 20 is automatically closed by contacting the inner extension of the ceramic outer tube 22. for that reason,
There is no possibility that a highly corrosive molten metal flows into the nozzle and clogs the inside thereof. In addition, by leaving a pressure corresponding to the liquid pressure (the head pressure of the molten metal) in the gas ejection nozzle 24, the molten metal does not flow back inside the nozzle even if the nozzle is poorly closed.
