2. Description of the Related Art Recording apparatuses such as printers, digital copiers, and facsimile machines drive an energy generator of a recording head based on transferred image information to thereby form a sheet-shaped recording medium such as paper or a plastic sheet. Is configured to record an image composed of a dot pattern on the recording medium. These recording methods include an ink jet method, a wire dot method, a thermal method, a laser beam method, and the like. Among the recording methods, the ink jet method is a method of performing recording by discharging ink from a recording unit onto a recording material, and it is easy to miniaturize the recording unit and can record a high-definition image at a high speed. There are advantages such as low running noise and low noise due to low impact, and it is easy to record a color image using multi-color inks.
2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, recording apparatuses using an ink jet system have been rapidly increasing. However, since the inkjet method is printing with liquid ink, it is in an undried state immediately after printing,
When the roller for transporting the paper is brought into contact with the printing surface, the ink recorded on the paper adheres to the roller surface, and when the roller rotates, the ink adheres to the paper surface again, causing the paper surface to become dirty. There was an inconvenience.

In order to solve this problem, as shown in FIG. 16, a spur 60 is used as the shape of a roller that contacts a printing surface, and a point contact is used for contact with a recording medium.
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 3-22747 discloses a technique of making the contact surface 71 of the roller 70 with the recording medium into an acute angle to form a line contact, as shown in FIG. Further, the paper printed by the printing unit starts to swell when ink adheres. The paper in the portion where the image density is high and the amount of ink attached is large swells more.
In the case of an ink jet recording apparatus, the distance between the recording paper and the head for ejecting ink is as narrow as 0.8 mm to 1.5 mm. Inconvenience that the distance to the discharge port is exceeded. In view of this, a spur or a roller that presses the printed recording paper from above is provided on the paper discharge side to maintain an interval with the recording head. However, the spurs and rollers as the pressing means also have a problem that if the pressing pressure is high, ink adheres to the spurs and rollers, and the adhered ink contaminates the recording paper. On the other hand, from the viewpoint of paper conveyance accuracy, the higher the pressing force of the pressing means of the spur and the roller, the higher the pressing force, so that a higher pressing force is required.

Therefore, the number of spurs and rollers is increased to reduce the pressure applied to one roller, to secure the conveying force, and to execute the sheet suppressing action. For example, as shown in FIG. 15, in order to apply a constant pressure to the spur or the roller 50, a method of applying pressure to each spur or both ends of the common shaft 52 of the roller 50 with a spring 53 (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 7-228406). As shown in FIG. 16, a method of applying pressure to a spur or a shaft 61 of a roller 60 by using an elastic body such as a coil spring (see Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 4-78555) is disclosed.

As described above, even when the configuration of the roller is spur and the contact between the roller and the paper is point contact or the contact surface between the roller and the paper is thinned to make the line contact, High spur (or roller) pressure on the
Although it is slightly lighter than a normal roller, a dotted line
Alternatively, the ink adhered in the form of fine lines, and the surface of the paper became dirty. In a configuration in which a plurality of spurs or rollers are pressed, the common shaft 5 of the spur 50 is used.
Since pressure is applied to both ends of the spring 2 by the spring 53, the shaft 52 is deformed and the central portion is lifted, so that no pressure is applied, or the pressure becomes extremely light compared to both ends and the pressure does not become uniform. In addition, there is a disadvantage that a state occurs in which a certain spur or roller generates stains and a certain spur or roller does not generate stains. In addition, the transporting means shown in FIG. 16 requires an elastic shaft 61 and a shaft support member 63 for each spur 60, which increases the number of parts and increases the cost and the number of assembly steps.

Here, a method of adjusting the pressing force of the spur 33 will be described with reference to FIG. Assuming that the elastic pressing body 100 attached to the housing 35 is at the reference position 100A, the free end pressing portion 155 is at the first free position 155A. Normally, the spur 33 is in contact with the transport roll at a fixed position, and the free end pressing portion 155 is moved together with the spur 33 at the displacement position 1
At 55, the spur 33 is pressed in the transport roll direction. Next, the pressing force of the spur 33 in the transport roll direction is changed. (1) Reduce the pressing force. It is assumed that the mounting angle of the elastic pressing body is the reduction position 100B where the mounting side is on the housing side. The free end of the elastic pressing body 100 is at the second free position 155B, and the displacement amount up to the displacement position 155 is small. As a result, the pressing force of the spur on the transport roll is low. (2) Increase the pressing force. The mounting angle of the elastic pressing member is set to the increased position 100C on the side of the transport roll. The free end of the elastic pressing body 100 is at the third free position 155C, and the displacement amount up to the displacement position 155 is large. As a result, the pressing force of the spur on the transport roll is increased. Thus, the housing 35 of the elastic pressing body 100
The pressing force of each spur on the transport roll can be changed by changing the mounting angle on the carrier.

A second transfer device 40 is provided downstream of the first transfer device 30. The second transporting device 40 includes a transporting roll 41 and a spur 43 pressed against the transporting roll 41, and clamps and discharges the recorded recording paper. Recording paper (medium) of the ink jet recording apparatus thus configured
The transporting means transports the recording paper, which has been printed with the ink, downstream by the first transporting device 30. At this time, the plurality of spurs 33 arranged in the main scanning direction are Independent and stable pressure is applied in the direction of the transport roll 31. A desired pressing force can be obtained depending on how the elastic pressing body 100 is attached to the housing 35, and the pressing force can be easily assembled. Further, even when the number of spurs is increased, a stable pressing force can be similarly expected by using the elastic pressing member provided with the additional pressing portion 155, and it is not necessary to increase the number of parts that apply pressure to the spurs. A small and simple configuration of the paper discharge unit can be provided without increasing the number of steps.

When the elastic pressing member 200 is disposed on the housing 35 and presses the support shaft 333 of the spur block 330, the pressure of the spur 33 pressed by the wide pressing portion 255 disposed at the center increases. The elastic pressing body 200 is provided with a positioning concave portion 210 for positioning at the time of attachment to the housing 35. The positioning recess 210 allows the elastic pressing body 200 to be easily and accurately attached to the housing, thereby reducing the number of assembling steps and simplifying the assembly. The pressing configuration configured in this manner is used to increase the transporting force in the central portion where paper is frequently passed, as in the case of a central register type device, or when the central portion is bent by the pressure contact between the transport roll and the rotating body. The recording paper is smoothly transported by increasing the pressure of the rotating body in the central portion in the main scanning direction.

Second Embodiment Referring to FIG. 9, the elastic pressing member 300 has a first pressing member having a plurality of pressing portions provided at an end portion having a wide width dimension.
Pressing portion 300A, the second pressing portion 30 disposed at the center portion
0B, the third in which the width of the pressing portion provided at the other end is reduced.
Pressing portion 300C. Here, the relationship of the width dimension of the pressing portion in the main scanning direction is the first pressing portion 300A>
The second pressing portion 300B> the third pressing portion 300C. When the elastic pressing body 300 is disposed on the housing 35 and presses the support shaft 333 of the spur block 330, the pressure of the spur 33 pressed by the first pressing portion 300A disposed at the end is high, and The pressure of the spur 333 pressed by the pressing portion 300C is low. The elastic pressing body 300 is provided with a positioning projection 310 for positioning when the elastic pressing body 300 is attached to the housing 35. The pressing mode configured in this way is
It is applicable when increasing the conveying force of the side portion where the paper passing frequency is high, such as a side-register type device. For example, as shown in FIG. 10, by positioning the first pressing portion 300A of the elastic pressing body 300 on the registration side R, the pressing force on the registration side at which the paper passing from the A4 size to the A3 size is always performed is reduced. Strengthen and increase the transfer power. Further, a positioning hole 410 as shown in FIG. 11 may be provided as a positioning means. Thus, in the above example, the width of the pressing portion is changed at an arbitrary position to increase the pressure at a desired position.

Next, another embodiment of the elastic pressing member will be described. See FIGS. Elastic pressing body 500 shown in FIG.
Represents a sheet-shaped main body 510 and a pressing portion 520 projecting in a comb-tooth shape.
And the distal end of the pressing portion 520 is bent so that the locking portion 5
30 are formed. The elastic pressing body 500 having this configuration is
The locking portion 530 is engaged with the support shaft of the spur to prevent the spur block 330 and the elastic pressing body 500 from falling off. An elastic pressing body 550 shown in FIG. 13 has a sheet-shaped main body 551 and a pressing portion 552 projecting in a comb-like shape.
Is provided with a holding portion 553 with its tip formed in a hook shape. In the elastic pressing body 550 having this configuration, the holding portion 553 is fitted to the support shaft of the spur, and the spur block 330 and the elastic pressing body 50
0 is reliably prevented from falling off. The elastic pressing members 500 and 550 having the above configuration can prevent a trouble that the support shaft of the spur block is disengaged from the elastic pressing member when the recording apparatus is operated, conveyed, or the main body is tilted, so that no pressure is applied. Although the spur is used as the pressing body on the paper surface in the above-described conveying apparatus, the same effect can be obtained by changing the spur into a roller shape.

As described above, the recording apparatus shown in the above-described embodiment uses a comb-like elastic member as a means for pressing the paper of the first transporting apparatus 30, and fixes one end side and individually sets the free end side. Since the comb teeth are configured to be in pressure contact with both ends of the spur or the support shaft of the roller, it is possible to independently apply pressure to each spur or roller. Further, only one member is required to apply pressure to the spur or the roller, which facilitates assembly. Furthermore, even if the number of spurs or rollers is increased to obtain a running force, there is no need to increase the number of members that apply pressure to the spurs or rollers.

In the above embodiment, an example has been described in which one spur block is provided, but a plurality of spurs may be provided in one spur block. For example, FIG.
The spur block 340 is attached to the support shaft 343 by two as shown in FIG.
There are spurs. The first spur 33a and the second spur 33b are disposed on the support shaft 343 at a predetermined interval. Then, the pressing member is pressed against the support shaft 343 protruding from both ends of the spur. With this configuration, the number of parts can be further reduced. In addition, even when the support shaft of the spur block supports two or more spurs, when the support shaft 343 has rigidity, the pressing member forms a free end so as to press against only both ends of the support shaft 343. By doing so, simplification of the pressing member is achieved.
