Claims (3)

【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 燃料の燃焼後、エンジンから排出される
排気ガスを排気パイプを通して消音器にガイドし、排気
騒音を減衰する自動車の排気騒音減衰装置において、 消音器には一端側が排気パイプに連結する流入管が配設
され、該流入管を通して消音器の内部へ流入される排気
ガスの膨張比を一次的に増大させて排気ガスの排気騒音
を低減させるように、前記流入管の他端側に流入管の断
面積以下の第1の減衰部が流入管と一体的に連結され、
該第1の減衰部の外周部には開口が設けられ、該開口に
は、前記第1の減衰部に排気ガスが集合されつつ排圧が
かかりすぎるのを防止して円滑に消音器の内部へ流入さ
れるようにするとともに、膨張比を二次的に増大させる
ことにより排気騒音減衰量を増大させる第2の減衰部が
接続されていることを特徴とする自動車の排気騒音減衰
装置。
An exhaust noise attenuating device for an automobile, which guides exhaust gas discharged from an engine through an exhaust pipe after fuel combustion to attenuate exhaust noise, wherein one end of the silencer is connected to the exhaust pipe. The other end of the inflow pipe is provided so as to temporarily increase the expansion ratio of the exhaust gas flowing into the muffler through the inflow pipe and reduce the exhaust noise of the exhaust gas. A first damping portion having a cross-sectional area equal to or less than the inflow pipe is integrally connected to the inflow pipe;
An opening is provided in an outer peripheral portion of the first damping portion. An exhaust noise attenuation device for an automobile, wherein a second attenuation portion is connected to increase the exhaust noise attenuation amount by secondarily increasing the expansion ratio while allowing the air to flow into the vehicle.
