Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instantaneously report the occurrence of accident and to prevent secondary disaster such as chain collision by issuing an alarm to a following vehicle by collecting surrounding traffic conditions through a microphone, analyzing the frequency of this acoustic signal and detecting a feature spectrum pattern in the case of accident occurrence. SOLUTION: Sounds from a road are received by a microphone 1. This acoustic signal is amplified by an amplifier 2, its spectrum component is extracted by a frequency analyzer 3, and discontinuous signals are detected by a discontinuous signal extracter 4. On the other hand, plural spectrum patterns corresponding to the feature discontinuous signals caused by accident occurrence are previously stored in a sampling frequency pattern memory 5 and compared with the frequency analyzer 3 by a comparator 6. Thus, discontinuous sounds except the accident such as horns or vibrating noises of load are separated from the accident occurrence sound and when the accident occurrence is detected as a result, it is automatically reported to a traffic control center or the like by a transmitter 7.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, when an accident occurs while a vehicle is running, a person or witness who is riding in the vehicle notifies a police, a fire department or the like by a public telephone, an emergency telephone or a mobile telephone. Is common. However, if there is no such telephone near the accident location, or if there is no witness and the accident party is injured and difficult to report, the report is greatly delayed. Even when these telephones are located near the accident location, it takes several tens of seconds to several minutes to report the accident, and during that time there is a possibility that a subsequent car may cause a collision.

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the present invention.
The sound from the road is received by the microphone 1. This acoustic signal is amplified by the amplifier 2, a spectrum component is extracted by the frequency analyzer 3, and a discontinuous signal is detected by the discontinuous signal extractor 4. On the other hand, a plurality of spectral patterns for the discontinuous signal characteristic of the accident are stored in the sample frequency pattern storage 5 in advance.
The comparison with the frequency analyzer 3 is performed by the comparator 5.
As a result, discontinuous sounds other than accidents, such as horns and vibrations of cargo, are separated from accident sounds. As a result, when an accident is detected, the transmitter 7 automatically notifies the traffic control center and the like. To do.

FIG. 2 shows an example of the processing flow of the frequency analyzer 3 and the discontinuous signal extractor 4. Frequency analyzer 3
Stores an acoustic signal for a certain time Δt,
A frequency analysis is performed every t time. The frequency analysis result is sent to the discontinuous signal extractor 4 and stored therein. In the present embodiment, the latest frequency analysis result is stored in the storage unit 401 by Δt.
The frequency analysis result before time is stored in the storage unit 402, and the frequency analysis result before Δt × 2 time is stored in the storage unit 403.
The data in each memory is updated by inputting the latest frequency analysis result.
If it is more than one, it is possible to have more than one. First, the frequency components of the storage device 402 and the storage device 403 are compared by the frequency component comparator 404, and if the frequency components are the same, a non-accident determination is made in the case of a continuous signal that has been continued from the past. Further, the frequency components of the storage unit 401 and the storage unit 402 are compared by the frequency component comparator 405, and if the frequency components are the same, a non-accident determination is made as a new continuous signal generated before the time Δt. Here, when both the frequency component comparator 404 and the frequency component comparator 405 do not determine that there is no accident, it recognizes that a discontinuous signal has occurred, and sends the frequency component to the comparator 5.

FIG. 4 is a conceptual diagram showing a warning display to a following vehicle when the system shown in FIG. 1 is installed on a road. The vehicle accident notification device 8 detects a collision sound or the like due to the accident vehicle 9 and notifies the traffic control center 10 of the detection. In response to the notification, the traffic control center 10 causes the warning indicator 11 to indicate that an accident has occurred ahead. The following vehicle 12 starts deceleration by confirming this display, and can prevent a secondary disaster.

FIG. 5 shows a second embodiment of the present invention. The sound from the road is received by the microphone 1. This acoustic signal is amplified by the amplifier 2 and the band-pass filter 12 removes an acoustic signal unrelated to the accident sound. further,
An impulse-like signal component is extracted by the discontinuous signal extractor 13. On the other hand, a plurality of characteristic discontinuous time waveforms due to the occurrence of an accident are stored in the sample signal storage 14 in advance, and the correlation with the output of the discontinuous signal extractor 13 is performed by the correlator 15. As a result, when the occurrence of an accident is detected, the transmitter 7 automatically notifies the traffic control center or the like.
