Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cloth-covered molding by bonding a cloth whose nap is raised by restoring the recovering property in an area of the cloth whose nap was laid down at the time of blow molding. SOLUTION: A cloth-covered molding 1 is obtained by blow-molding thermoplastics. A cloth whose nap is raised is placed together with a parison to be displaced between blow-molding dies so that a nap-raised surface of the cloth is oriented in opposition to the side of the dies to conduct a blow molding. After a molding 2, to the surface of which a nap-raised cloth 3 is bonded, is prepared, the surface of the cloth 3 is heated to raise the nap on the cloth, whose nap was laid down at the time of blow molding. As required, a mechanical raising treatment also is employed in the heating process to heat the surface of the cloth 3.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described in JP-A-51088, in a method of arranging a cloth such as a fiber sheet together with a parison between blow molding dies and performing blow molding, the surface of the molded article is simultaneously blown with the molded article. Since the cloth is adhered, the cloth pasting work after molding is not required, and the cloth is firmly adhered with the surface of the molded article in a molten state at the time of blow molding. If the plastic has a high melting temperature, such as polypropylene, the brushed cloth is subjected to a high temperature during the blow molding and is pressed, so that the bristle of the brushed cloth generated during the blow molding hardly recovers even after the molding, and the molding is performed. The texture of the surface of the product is impaired.

[0005] As described above, the reason why the raised cloth adhered to the surface of the molded article at the time of blow molding remains in the falling state even after molding is that the raised cloth is pressed against the high temperature and the falling hair is pressed. This is a phenomenon that is caused by the fact that the molded product is cooled while falling down while being cooled, and does not recover even if the pressing force is eliminated. However, according to the inventor's experiments,
It was found that the raised brush that was pressed under high temperature and collapsed did not essentially lose its resilience at all. In other words, even after the hair has fallen once, it has been found that it is sufficiently possible to recover the restorability of the raised portion by heating the hair again.

On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 4, by applying a mechanical raising treatment to the raised surface 10 of the raised cloth 9 before applying the heating treatment, the raised restoration property of the raised surface 10 of the raised cloth 9 is further ensured. Can be recovered. In the example shown in FIG. 4, the mechanical raised body 13 has a moving and rotating structure including a large number of brush-raising needles 14, but this may have an appropriate structure. This mechanical raising treatment may be performed in parallel with the heat treatment, or may be performed after the heat treatment.
