2. Description of the Related Art Generally, in a pneumatic bias tire manufacturing method having a carcass ply composed of a plurality of layers of plies, in order to improve the productivity of the tire, one ply is placed on a molding drum. Instead of sticking with
A method is adopted in which two or more layers of plies are laminated in advance in another step to form a band, and the band is attached on a molding drum. On the other hand, in a pneumatic bias tire equipped with a carcass ply composed of multiple layers of plies, when the folded-back ends of the plies of the multiple layers forming the carcass ply come to the same position, a step difference in rigidity occurs, causing a separation failure. Therefore, it is preferable that the ply widths of the plies of a plurality of layers are made different to shift the folding end positions of the plies. However, preparing a large number of plies of different widths will hinder the productivity of the tire. Therefore, prepare a large number of plies of the same width and shift two or more plies of the same width in the width direction in the above band molding process. To stack,
So-called offset tension is performed. In this way, a tire having no rigidity difference and excellent productivity can be obtained, but as a result of offset tensioning, the folded ply ends of the ply are not symmetrical on the left and right sides of the tire, and on either the left or right side. The folded ends of the plies are covered by the widest ply, but on the other side all folded plies are located outside the carcass and there is no ply covering them, so there is no ply turn. Separation failure at the edge is likely to occur. In order to eliminate such problems, the conventional bias

However, the down ply, which is always included in the conventional typical bias tire, prevents or suppresses the occurrence of the separation failure at the folded end of the ply, and is effective in improving the durability of the tire. However, it is clear that it is a factor that impedes tire productivity.

In order to achieve the above object, a pneumatic tire according to the present invention comprises a pneumatic bias provided with a bead core provided at a pair of left and right bead portions and a carcass ply. In the tire, (1) the carcass ply extends from one bead portion to the other bead portion, and the bead core is folded back from the inner side to the outer side, and is composed of four or more layers of plies anchored to the bead portion. (2) In the carcass ply, the ply in which the organic fiber cords are embedded in rubber by arranging the organic fiber cords in parallel with each other at an angle of 20 to 45 degrees with respect to the tire equator line, and the cord direction sandwiches the tire equator line between adjacent layers. (3) The carcass ply has folded-back ends of 10 to 40 mm from each other.
10 to 30 of the height of the tire, and the high-folded ply of a plurality of layers positioned in the range of 42 to 60% of the height of the tire and the end of the folded back are spaced from each other by 10 to 40 mm. As a result of research on the relationship between the separation failure occurrence state at the ply turn-up end and the position of the ply turn-up end, it has been found that there are regions where separation faults are likely to occur and regions where they are unlikely to occur. In conventional tires, the folded-back ends of the plies are arranged at equal or almost equal intervals to each other in order to avoid a step in rigidity, so that a separation failure occurs at the folded-back ends of the plies of multiple layers. Some were located in difficult areas, while others were located in areas where separation failures were likely to occur. However, in the tire of the present invention, as described above, the carcass ply is composed of the high-folded ply and the low-folded ply, and the position of the folded-back end is arranged so as to avoid the region where separation failure is likely to occur. Durability is improved, and the down ply, which is a factor that hinders productivity improvement, is no longer required.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to a tire of an embodiment according to the present invention shown in FIG. The tire according to the embodiment is a pneumatic bias tire for a construction vehicle having a tire size of ORS18.4-24, and includes a bead core 1 provided at a pair of left and right bead portions and a carcass ply 2. ing. The carcass ply 2 is composed of four layers of plies, and all four layers of plies extend from one bead portion to the other bead portion, and the bead core 1 is folded back from the inside to the outside and is anchored to the bead portion. Up ply, 1890d / 2 nylon
The plies embedded in rubber with the cords arranged in parallel at an angle of 40 degrees with respect to the tire equator line are arranged so that the cord directions are opposite to each other with the tire equator line sandwiched between adjacent layers and the cords cross each other. It will be done. The four-layer carcass ply has a folding height of h1 = 200 mm and h2 =
1st ply and 2nd ply forming a two-layer high folded ply of 175 mm, and the folded height is h3 = 90 m
It consists of a third ply and a fourth ply forming two layers of low folding plies with m and h4 = 65 mm. Since the tire height H is 383 mm, the high folded ply has its folded end located in the range of 45 to 52% of the tire height, and the low folded ply has its folded end of 17 to 24% of the tire height. Located in the range of. The mutual distance between the folded-back ends of the high-folded ply and the low-folded ply is 25 mm, but the distance between the folded-back ends of the high-folded ply and the low-folded ply is large, and is 85 mm. This 85 mm region is a region where separation failure is likely to occur, and the folded end portion of the carcass ply 2 is arranged avoiding it.

The tires of the above-mentioned examples and the tires of comparative examples were subjected to a comparative test of tire durability performance with an indoor drum tester. The test condition is that a normal internal pressure of 2.2 kg / cm 2 is filled, which corresponds to 135% of the normal load of 3940 kg.
The condition is to load 20 kg and run for 240 hours, and the evaluation item is a comparison of the crack generation length at the folded end of the carcass ply. Table 1 shows the test results.
