Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed mechanism of a printer device which controls the feed rate of paper sheets accutately, without forming at least unprinted parts. SOLUTION: In this paper feed mechanism for use in a printer device 100 which performs printing while feeding paper 4, encoders 14, 15 for detecting paper feed rates are provided on both sides 4a, 4b of the paper 4. The feed rate of the paper is controlled by a stepping motor 5 in accordance with feed rate information detected by the encoders 14, 15, and the feed rates on both sides 4a, 4b of the paper 4 are corrected in accordance with the difference between the feed rates detected by the encoders 14, 15. If either of the feed rates detected by the two encoders 14, 15 provided on both sides of the paper has reached an amount equivalent to a width corresponding to one row printed by a print head (e.g. 1,000 pulses), paper feed is stopped, and the next printing is started.

2. Description of the Related Art In a conventional serial printer, a line feed is performed every time one line is printed. Therefore, the line feed pitch is controlled by detecting the paper feed amount with an encoder. That is, as shown in FIG. 3, an encoder 14 having a roller 12 that comes into contact with one side 4a of the sheet 4 is provided, and the feeding amount of the sheet fed by a sheet feeding roller (not shown) is counted by the pulse number, and a predetermined pulse is applied. When the number was reached, the paper feed roller was stopped and the next line was printed.

However, in the case of graphic printing in which printing is performed without gaps between lines, when a gap is formed at the connecting portion of the print lines, it becomes a white line and is unsightly. In particular, as shown in FIG. 3, the line feed pitch P1 of the one side edge 4a provided with the encoder 14 is accurately managed by the encoder 14, but the difference in sheet quality,
Difference in slip amount due to paper load (back tension),
The line feed pitch P2 of the other side edge 4b is caused by the difference in the slip amount due to the difference in the friction coefficient of the paper, the manufacturing variation in the diameter of the paper feed roller, the change in the diameter of the paper feed roller due to the temperature, and the like.
May become larger or smaller. As a result, the printing becomes blank near the other side edge 4b,
Alternatively, there is a problem that an overlapping portion may occur.
In particular, when the line feed pitch P2 of the other side edge 4b becomes large, a blank portion (printed portion W shown in FIG. 3) where printing is not performed
Occurs, and the quality of the graphic image is significantly impaired.

Therefore, in the conventional printer device, there is no choice but to take a mechanism or structure for applying an appropriate tension to the paper, resulting in problems of cost increase and weight increase. In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, a paper feeding mechanism of a printer device of the present invention is a paper feeding mechanism used in a printer device for carrying out printing while conveying a paper sheet. It is characterized in that measuring means for detecting the quantity are provided on both sides of the sheet, preferably on both sides. However, in the present invention, the measuring means may be provided at a plurality of positions, not necessarily on both sides. In the present invention, the term “both sides” does not mean “both sides” in a strict sense, but may be shifted in the paper feeding direction or may be slightly shifted to the middle side.

More preferably, the paper feed mechanism of the printer device of the present invention controls the feed amount of the paper based on the feed amount information detected by the measuring means. For example, when either one of the paper feed amounts detected by the measuring means provided on both sides of the paper becomes the amount corresponding to the width of the print head for printing one line, the paper feed is stopped, Is printed.

For example, when one of the paper feed amounts detected by the measuring means provided on both sides of the paper is equal to the width corresponding to the printing of one line by the print head, the paper feed is stopped. However, when the next printing is performed, the printing overlap may occur, but the blank portion does not occur. The control means 16 according to the present embodiment counts the number of pulses detected by the encoders 14 and 15, and when the number of pulses of both 14 and 15 reaches a predetermined number of pulses taught in advance, the stepping motor 5 Send a stop signal to. With the paper 4 stopped, next, the printing unit 1
Prints the next line. When the printing of one line is completed, the printing unit 1 returns to the standby position for printing the next one line. The printing method of the printing unit 1 may be a method of performing printing only on the outward path or a method of performing printing on both the outward path and the returning path.

As a result, the paper feed amount at both ends 4a and 4b of the paper 4 can be controlled with high precision and good printing can be performed, but there is a difference between the paper feed amounts detected by the two encoders 14 and 15. If it occurs, in this embodiment,
Control is performed as follows. That is, in the present embodiment, one of the paper feed amounts detected by the two encoders 14 and 15 provided on both sides of the paper is 1 of the print head.
When the amount corresponding to the width corresponding to line printing (for example, 1000 pulses) is reached, the paper feed is stopped and the next printing is performed.

As a result, overlapping of prints may occur, but no blank space is produced. Therefore, it is possible to avoid a blank portion that significantly impairs the quality of image quality. Second Example The present example is an example in which not only the printing margin that may occur when the next printing is performed by the printing unit, but also the overlapping of the printing can be prevented.

That is, the number of pulses detected by the two encoders 14 and 15 is read into the control means 16 described above, and while counting, it is determined at a predetermined time interval whether or not the predetermined number of pulses has been reached. Then, when the number of pulses from both encoders 14 and 15 reaches a predetermined number of pulses, a stop signal is sent to the stepping motor 5. At this time, the number of pulses from one of the encoders reaches a predetermined number of pulses. When the number of pulses from the other encoder until the number of pulses from the other encoder reaches the predetermined number of pulses (that is, the paper feed amount) is larger than the predetermined number of pulses, for example, the paper pressing rollers 10 and 11 or the paper feed rollers. The position of 8, 9 is adjusted, or the tension of these rollers 8, 9, 10, 11 is deflected.
Alternatively, the print position of the thermal head may be corrected. For example, the actual position of the head may be moved, or the data content inside the graphic computer processing may be changed. That is, diagonal printing is performed so that no margin is generated.

Thus, when the printing of the preceding line is finished and the printing of the next line is started, even if the paper feed amount is different between the both ends 4a and 4b of the paper 4, the defect is immediately fed back. Therefore, it is possible to more reliably prevent the overlapping of prints and the generation of margins. At this time, when the difference in the paper feed amount between the both ends 4a and 4b of the paper 4 is large, the printing of the next line may be stopped and a warning may be issued to prompt the operator to that effect.

For example, FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing another embodiment of the paper feeding mechanism of the printer device of the present invention. In this embodiment, the rollers 12 and 13 contacting both ends 4a and 4b of the paper 4 are provided. The rollers 12 and 13 are arranged.
The output shafts 17 and 18 are connected to a gear box 19 having a differential gear, and an encoder 20 is connected to the differential output shaft converted by the differential gear. Then, the difference in the paper feed amount between the both ends 4a and 4b of the paper 4 detected by the encoder 20 is sent to the control means 16 as pulse information, and then this pulse number (that is, the paper feed amount) is sent as in the above-described embodiment. Difference) is larger than a predetermined number of pulses, for example, as shown in FIG.

The tension of 0 and 11 is deflected, or the printing position of the thermal head is corrected as described above.

However, it is possible to accurately control the paper feed amount at both ends 4a and 4b of the paper 4, and it is possible to prevent the overlap of printing and the occurrence of margins. Further, in the present invention, a measuring means such as an encoder for detecting the paper feed amount may be provided in the substantially central portion of the paper. In that case, the difference in the feed amount between the center and the measuring unit can be detected, and by performing control in accordance therewith, it is possible to prevent the overlap of printing and the occurrence of margins.
