このような構造において、モータ4に直結されたプロペ
ラファン3の回転により、熱交換器1の外部から空気を
吸込み、吹出し口6を通してグリル7から外部へ吐出さ
れる。グリル7の目的は第一にはファンなどの回転体に
触れないように安全上設けられている。第二としては美
観上から設けられている。グリル7の材質は高分子材料
でできていることが多く、外装板2より少し間隔をおい
た平行な平面上に格子状をなして配置されている。格子
桟9の断面形状は図5(V部拡大図)に示すように長方
形若しくは長円形である。又、特開平5−248662
には環状鋼線で構成した吐出グリルの一部に他より線径
の細いものを使用し線径の細いもののみ規則的に波形形
状に形成したものが開示されている。2. 柱における発生音のレベルが低下する。本発明は、上記
の原理は他の直径の円柱あるいは小径の針金にも適用可
能との類推から、ワイヤの傾斜角度を15°以上とし
た。なお上記各実施形態においては空気調和機の室外機
を例として述べたが、室内機にも適用可能である。参考
