Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, light and inexpensive opening/closing valve by constituting the valve so as to open/close it with a gear rotated by a special rack provided in a piston shaft by making a reciprocating motion of the piston shaft by a pressure of compressed air and tension of a return spring. SOLUTION: When compressed air is supplied to a pipe joint 33, a piston 23 of an air cylinder 20 is pressed to move to the rightward against tension of a spring 27, a piston shaft 22 and a particular rack 24 are moved to the right. In this way, a gear 21 meshed with the particular rack 24 is rotated, a valve 3 is rotated to a position closing a flow in a case 1 through a valve shaft 2 fixing the gear 21. Here, in an opened end of the air cylinder 20, dust proof by a boots 35 is attained.
