Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable even the molding of a deep-draw product by coating and impregnating the surface part of a substrate composed of a medium density wooden fiberboard with an isocyanate compsn. and subsequently coating the coated surface of the substrate with aq. emulsion paint and heating and pressing the coated substrate to form a decorative layer. SOLUTION: After the surface part of a substrate 2 of which the whole or surface part is formed by using medium density wooden fibers is coated and impregnated with an isocyanate compsn., the coated surface of the substrate is coated with aq. emulsion paint and the coated substrate is heated and pressed to form a decorative layer 1 on the surface of the substrate to produce a decorative panel A. When the substrate 2 or the medium density wooden fiberboard layer 2a is coated with the aq. emulsion paint, the substrate 2 or the medium density wooden fiberboard layer 2a is softened by the moisture of the paint to become easy to process. Further, since moisture is reacted with the isocyanate compd. applied to the substrate 2 or infiltrated into the medium density wooden fiberboard layer 2a to cure the isocyanate compsn., predrying is performed within a short time.

2. Description of the Related Art As a method of processing a medium-density wood fiber substrate, it has been the simplest and well practiced to manufacture a decorative board by painting. However, the use of a water-based paint at this time causes "swelling". As it causes "fluff", etc.,
A product with commercial value cannot be obtained without some kind of post-processing. For this reason, it has become common to use oil-based paints instead of water-based paints, but there is a danger that volatilization of the solvent contained in oil-based paints will lead to air pollution. Further, in order to cover the non-uniformity of the surface of the medium-density wooden fiber substrate, a method of applying a chemical smoothing paper and then coating, or applying unevenness to the surface of the medium-density wooden fiber substrate before coating However, even in this case, solvent-based paint or solvent-free paint (unsaturated polyester resin, etc.) to prevent swelling and fuzzing
Had to be.

Moreover, this alone cannot be expected to improve the water resistance, which is a basic drawback of the medium-density wood fiber substrate, and the use as a building material is limited, so that it is insufficient in performance as a material such as a floor material. there were. Therefore, a method of impregnating a permeable addition-condensation type resin liquid into a medium-density wood fiber substrate and then drying, pressurizing, and heating to process is also proposed,
Partial non-uniformity of resin content is likely to occur. The problem that "sledding" is caused, and moreover, the makeup resistance must be further improved only by improving the water resistance of the medium-density wood fiber substrate, which makes it impossible to satisfy the makeup even with one operation. was there.

Therefore, after the medium density wood fiber substrate is impregnated with a large amount of liquid resin and cured, a decorative paper or a decorative board is adhered to the surface of the medium density wood fiber substrate, or the resin impregnated into the medium density wood fiber substrate is used. It has also been proposed to adhere a veneer when curing the. These methods are useful for improving water resistance, which is a drawback of the medium-density wood fiber substrate, but a large amount of resin impregnation and a decorative paper or veneer attached to the substrate increases the overall specific gravity and complicates the work. Obviously it will be expensive.
Further, the molding is limited to the degree of embossing of the plate-like material due to the use of the decorative paper or the decorative board, and the workability is poor.

In the first invention, the water content of the medium-density wood fiber board (2) or the medium-density wood fiber board layer (2a), which initially had a water content of 7 to 8%, absorbed the water content of the aqueous emulsion type paint. The density can be easily increased to about 20% or more, and as a result, the medium density wood fiber board (2) or the medium density wood fiber board layer can be obtained.
(2a) is soft and easy to process, and is rich in moldability because it is also impregnated with an isocyanate composition, the medium density wood fiber substrate (2) or the medium density wood fiber board layer (2a) surface embossing Not only processing, but also processing such as bending and deep drawing of the medium-density wood fiber substrate (2) are facilitated.

After the completion of curing, a medium density wood fiber substrate (2) or a medium density wood fiber board layer is formed with a foam of an isocyanate composition.
Since the voids of (2a) are filled and some swelling is also performed depending on the conditions, the use of a relatively small amount of the isocyanate composition does not increase the specific gravity of the medium-density wood fiber molded product so much that the water resistance is improved. As a result, the dimensional change due to water absorption of the medium density wood fiber board (2) or the medium density wood fiber board layer (2a) can be made extremely small. The surface of the substrate (2) is then made up with the water-based emulsion type paint. Therefore, when the curing is completed, the makeup of the substrate (2) is also completed.

(Embodiment of the Invention) Although there are various modes for carrying out the present invention, the most general method is to use a medium density wood fiber substrate with a known water content (usually 7 to 8% in most cases) and an isocyanate composition. The product is impregnated by a method such as coating or dipping so that the solid content is 5 to 30% by weight of the medium density wood fiber substrate. A preferable permeation amount is 10 to 20 as a solid content.
When the weight% is appropriate and the permeation amount is in this range, the surface of the medium-density wood fiber substrate can be impregnated with almost no stickiness on the surface of the medium-density wood fiber substrate.

Subsequently, when a necessary amount of an aqueous emulsion paint having a known solid content is applied to one surface of the paint, the water content of the paint is absorbed by the medium-density wood fiber substrate and is also dried from the surface. The rate is 20 to 50%, and the reaction with the isocyanate compounded composition partially starts even at room temperature. Since the surface of the emulsion paint does not stick in a relatively short time, it is put in a mold at this stage or continuously inserted into a hot roll and heated and pressed to form a predetermined shape, and at the same time, the isocyanate composition is cured. Pressure is 5
It is 40 kgf / cm 2 , preferably 60 to 120 ° C.
The holding time of pressurization / heating is about 30 minutes to 1 minute, and the conditions of this heating / pressurization are industrially most advantageous depending on the shape, thickness, and size of the molded product.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to Examples, but these are not representative of all of the present invention. [Example] On a medium-density wood fiberboard having a thickness of 3 mm and a water content of 8%, polypropylene glycol having a molecular weight of 300 and PM
A mixture of DI (30% isocyanate) in an equimolar amount was applied from both sides. The isocyanate formulation is easily absorbed by the medium density wood fiber substrate and the surface becomes tack free. The impregnation amount of the isocyanate composition was about 18.5% of the weight of the medium density fiber wood substrate. Subsequently, a bare-color acrylic emulsion paint, to which an aqueous sol of silica was added so as to be 20% in terms of solid matter, was applied to a thickness of about 10 μm, and after contact drying at room temperature, 140 ° C. and 20 kg.
The wood grain pattern of oak wood was embossed at f / cm 2 for 5 minutes. The embossed pattern was very sharp. Then, the embossed surface is colored by wiping with oil-based stin (wooden color) for wood, and UV (ultraviolet) cured acrylic urethane resin paint containing 10 parts by weight of 400-mesh alumina powder as an abrasion resistant material is applied.
It was applied to a thickness of μm to obtain a decorative board. The external appearance of the decorative board was completely indistinguishable from painted wood, the abrasion resistance was similar to that of conventional flooring materials, and the indentation hardness was rather excellent. With respect to water resistance, defects such as swelling of the coating film did not appear after boiling for 2 hours.

According to the method of the present invention, since the aqueous emulsion type coating material is applied to the medium density wooden fiber board or the medium density wooden fiber board layer laminated on the surface of the substrate, the wood fiber absorbs water of the aqueous emulsion type coating material to be softened. It becomes easier to process. Further, since the water content reacts with the isocyanate composition impregnated in the wood fiber to foam and harden, the amount of water that must be evaporated is reduced accordingly, and the preliminary drying can be completed in a short time. After the curing of the isocyanate composition, the voids of the wood fibers are filled with the foam and some swelling is also performed depending on the conditions. Therefore, the waterproof performance may be exhibited by using a relatively small amount of the isocyanate composition. become able to do. Therefore, the total weight does not increase so much. Since the surface treatment is performed with the paint, waterproofing and cosmetic work are completed at the same time. In addition, by adding silica or and alumina aqueous sol to the water-based emulsion type coating or by separately applying a coating containing silica or alumina aqueous sol, the hardness of the coated surface, abrasion resistance, and stain resistance And the suitability for repeated coating can be improved, and the substrate can be used as an excellent floor material. Furthermore, by using a prepolymer or coprepolymer of ethylene oxide or propylene oxide and diisocyanate as the essential components of the isocyanate composition, it is possible to suppress dimensional change due to water absorption of the wood fiber and to impart boiling water resistance to the wood fiber. .
