SOLUTION: The base part of a special catch fork 8 comprises two members 8a and 8b telescopically expandable by a cylinder 22. A frame for bracing is rotatable by a rotary bearing 24, arranged at a frame 8c mounted on a base part constituting member 8b of the special catch fork 8 and a cylinder 23. The upper end of a steel pipe pile 7 is hung by a vibro pile hammer or a hammer 5 suspended by using a boom 3 of a floating crane 1 arranged on a building berth A. The middle part of the steel pipe pile 7 is braced and supported by frames 12 and 13 for bracing mounted on the special catch fork 8 installed on the building berth A and a base plate 15 with the aid of bracing cylinders 16 and 17.
