発明の分野
本発明は、一般に、兼用ページング・システムおよび無線電話システムに関し

発明の背景
選択呼出信号システム(例えば、ページング・システム)は、メッセージ発呼
者(messagc originator)からページング受信機に、ページと呼ばれる選択呼出

発明の概要

るフラグ付きページであるかどうかを判定するフラグ付きページ識別器,フラグ

発明の詳細な説明
第1図を参照して、広域ページング・システム10と、コードレス電話システ
ム15などの無線電話システムとを兼用する選択呼出信号システムは、その間の
通信のために公衆電話交換網(PSTN:public switched telephone network
)20を利用する。本発明の好適な実施例は、セルラ電話システムなどの他の無
線電話システムに比べて安価な第2世代コードレス電話(CT−2)を利用する
。メッセージ発呼者は、ページ入力デバイス25を利用して、ページング情報を
PSTN20を介して入力し、符号化およびページング・システム10の加入者

本発明の好適な実施例により、兼用無線ページャ/コードレス電話トランシー
バ40は、ページング送信機38を介してページング・システム10によって放

定応答信号と、PSTN20を介してページング・システム10にアクセスする
ためのアクセス番号を識別する情報とを受信する。
肯定応答信号およびアクセス情報は、コードレス電話コール・ポイント局15の
電話ネットワーク・インタフェース54を介してページング・システム10を呼
び出すためにアクセス情報を利用するコール・ポイント・コントローラ52に提
