Abstract

PURPOSE: To integrate formed envelops so that the sequence and the front and rear surfaces coincide by so setting address data as to be drawn in the larger sequence when a continuous form is set to an envelope forming unit, and so forming that the address surface is disposed upside when it is folded and superposed. CONSTITUTION: An envelope forming unit continuously draws continuous forms having two folds extended in parallel with the longitudinal direction, folds and superposes along the two folds, then laterally separates them via a bar star unit 9 to form envelops, and integrates in a stack unit 16. In this case, it has a superposing mechanism 20 for folding and superposing the forms 1 along the two molds is provided. When the forms 1 are set, the rear side of the form 1, i.e., the form 1 is drawn from the side having largest number of the data 4, and the envelop forming operation is conducted via the unit so that the address surface is disposed upside, thereby allowing the old number cueing and front surface passing.

However, in the letter-sealing apparatus having the above-described structure, as shown in FIG. 9, the continuous form 1 is formed so that the surface (address printing surface) of the letter is the upper side.
When the sheets are folded and fed to the horizontal traveling section (from the pin tractor 7 onward) (hereinafter, such a continuous foam passing method is referred to as front passing), the continuous foam 1 is printed in ascending order of the data number (aiueo order). In the case of the previous example, the letters are sent out first "a" and then "a", etc., so that the created envelopes have the highest number in the stack part, with the table facing up. Stacked. That is, as shown in FIG. 7C, the envelope 1A is stacked with the address side facing upward, No2 on No1 and No3 on it. When the envelopes are stacked in this way, there is a problem that it is inconvenient to check and sort the finished envelopes. In this specification, the stacking state as shown in FIG. 7C is referred to as "the order does not match the front and back", and conversely, when the address side of the envelope is up, the younger number is up. The state of stacking in this way is called "the order matches the front and back."

In order to collect the envelopes so that the order and the front and back are the same, the continuous form 1 may be passed through the device so that the address printing surface faces downward. However, in the case of back-through, the printed surface is on the lower side, so the printed contents cannot be seen during operation of the device. Further, since the print surface faces downward, dirt such as toner on the print surface adheres to the lower roller arranged on the lower side, which makes cleaning difficult and the degree of dirt cannot be seen. In addition, it is possible to attach a part dedicated to scraping in order to reduce the cleaning of the lower roller, but this is not economical.

Here, in the continuous form used for creating the envelope, the address data is stored in the leftmost column out of the three columns distinguished by the two folds in a state where the continuous form is correctly faced. When the continuous form is set in the letter-sealing device, the address data is reversed in the rightmost column located in the rightmost position when facing the continuous form that is continuously drawn out. It is preferable that the continuous foam is folded in a Z shape when viewed from the downstream side in the transport direction of the continuous foam so that the right side of the continuous foam is on the front side. With this configuration, it is possible to use the continuous form that has been normally used in the past to perform the old index cueing and fronting on the letter-sealing apparatus.

As described above, according to the method for making a sealed letter of the present invention, since it is possible to make the old index cue and pass through the sealed letter making apparatus, the following effects are obtained. Envelopes can be collected on the stack part in the same order as the front and back. During operation of the device, an operator can monitor the running state and the stacking state while looking at the printed surface of the envelope. Since the print surface passes through the device with the print surface facing upward, it is the upper roller that is soiled by the toner on the print surface, which makes cleaning easy and allows the contamination state to be checked easily. Since the lower roller that is difficult to clean and hard to see dirt does not become dirty, there is no need to provide parts for cleaning the lower roller, and the device can be made small and inexpensive.

1. A continuous form having two folds extending parallel to each other in a longitudinal direction and having address data printed in a predetermined order in one of three columns divided by the two folds. Is set in an envelope creating device, the continuous form is continuously drawn out by the envelope creating device, folded along two folds in the longitudinal direction and overlapped, while the overlapped continuous form is conveyed horizontally. In a letter-sealing method in which a sealed letter is created by cutting and cutting the sheet in the horizontal direction and adhering the seal portions of the stacked continuous foams, and the created sealed letters are collected, the continuous foams are sorted in descending order of address data. Set so that the address surface faces upwards while pulling out the continuous form, and horizontally with the address surface facing upward. A method of making a sealed letter, wherein the continuous form is passed through the old-numbered indexing device through the old letter-making device so that the continuous foam is cut and adhered while being conveyed.
