CONSTITUTION: A muffler for an air conditioner comprises a suitable number of noise suppressing elements and a casing 12. The noise suppressing elements comprise air pipes 13 formed of glass wool and end plates 15 provided with openings 14, which permit ends of the air pipes 13 to be mounted to centers of rectangular plates. The end plates 15 are mounted to both ends of the air pipes 13, and are provided at peripheral portions thereof with noise suppressing materials 17 so that a suitable number of elements 11 may be assembled in a rectangle. The casing 12 is provided at one side thereof with an air inlet 19 and at the other side thereof with an outlet 20, and air passages 21, 22, respectively, are provided between the end plate of the noise suppressing elements on a front side thereof and the inlet and between the end plate of the noise suppressing elements a rear side thereof and the outlet.

However, it has been recently proposed to supply a casing and an internal muffling member having different sizes according to the required muffling volume as in the conventional muffler, as in recent years. When production is often required, there has been a problem that the cost becomes extremely high. Therefore,
Conventionally, in this type of silencer, high-frequency sound has been considerably reduced in noise generated from a blower source or the like, but low-frequency noise has generally been reduced. Therefore, in the present invention, it is possible to considerably reduce the cost even when a small number of different types of silencers of different sizes such as large, medium, and small are required, and to reduce both high-frequency noise and low-frequency noise. The muffler of various mute volumes is designed to be easily designed and manufactured.

In order to achieve the above object, the muffler for air conditioning of the present invention uses a common muffling element as the inner muffling member even when the outer shapes of the casings are different from each other. If the casing is large, a large number of muffling elements should be installed. If the casing is small, a small number of muffling elements should be installed. If a large volume of muffling is required, increase the length of the muffler. Then, many silence elements were incorporated. Thus, the sound deadening element is configured so that the square-shaped end plates provided with ventilation holes at both ends of the glass wool ventilation pipe are attached, the ventilation pipes are arranged in parallel and in series, and can be incorporated into the casing in a rectangular shape. . Further, a holder is provided over the corners of the both end plates attached to both ends of the ventilation pipe to hold the sound deadening material.

The muffler element 11 according to the present invention comprises a glass wool ventilation pipe 13 and an end plate 15 having a ventilation hole 14 at the center of a square plate into which the end of the ventilation pipe can be mounted. Since the end plates 15 and 15 are attached to both ends of the casing so that an appropriate number of elements can be assembled in a square shape, when this is inserted into the casing 12 and used,
The air entering from 16 flows through each ventilation pipe 13, but since the outside of each pipe 13 and the inner surface of the casing 12 are not partitioned between the end plates 15 and 15, the noise propagating in the duct is It is suddenly opened from each ventilation pipe 13 to the wide space 24 between the end plates 15 and 15, noise is reflected and noise is reduced, and the silencing action can be further enhanced, and low frequency noise as well as high frequency noise can be enhanced. You can reduce the sound. This action is due to the sound attenuation at the open end of the sound. As shown in FIG. 6, the sound propagating from the duct d is released into the wide space D and a part of the sound is reflected and reduced. It is what is sounded. Therefore,
By appropriately incorporating a number of the silencing elements 11 in parallel and in series, the silencing action is repeated in the same manner in each of the space portions 24a to 24d between the end plates 15 to reduce the sound. In addition, if several kinds of casings 12 having different sizes are prepared, a required sound reduction effect can be produced by appropriately incorporating the same muffling element in a casing of a required size.

Embodiments of the present invention will now be described with reference to the drawings. 1 to 5 show an air-conditioning silencer 10 according to the present invention, which comprises a silencer element 11 and a casing 12. The silencer element 11 includes a glass wool ventilation pipe 13 and a ventilation hole to which an end of the ventilation pipe can be attached.
It is composed of an end plate 15 provided with 14 in the center. 16 is a ventilation hole
14 A ventilation edge provided on one side or both sides of the ventilation pipe.
It is designed to make it easy to attach the end portions of 13. Ventilation hole 14
Although it is formed in a circular shape, it may be formed in a square shape, and the ventilation pipe 13 may be a square shape. Reference numeral 17 denotes a rectangular cylindrical sound deadening material that is attached to the peripheral edges of both end plates 15 and 15 attached to both ends of the ventilation pipe 13, and 18 denotes a cross section L attached to each corner of both end plates 15 and 15. The holder is shaped like a holder and holds each corner portion of the sound deadening material 17. Further, although not shown, instead of the holder having an L-shaped cross section, a slender bolt-shaped shaft rod can be attached over the corner portions of both end plates to form a holder. The ventilation pipe 13 and the sound deadening material 17 can increase or decrease the damping effect and the sound insulating effect by changing the hardness, thickness and weight of the glass wool, so that the material etc. may be determined according to the required attenuation amount. . Thus, the end plates 15 are attached to both ends of the ventilation pipe 13.
, And the ventilation pipes 13 are arranged in parallel and in series so that an appropriate number of elements 11 can be incorporated in a rectangular shape.

The casing 12 is formed into a rectangular shape into which an appropriate number of muffling elements 11 can be incorporated and charged, one of which has an air inlet 19 and the other of which has an outlet 20. Thus, between the front end plate 15 and the inlet 19 of the element that is incorporated and inserted, and between the element rear end plate 15 and the outlet.
Ventilation passages 21 and 22 are provided between 20 and an inlet 19 is provided in the casing 12.
It is formed so that the air flowing in from the outlet can easily flow out from the outlet 20 through each ventilation pipe 13. 23 is the inlet side ventilation passage 21,
In addition, a sound deadening material provided along the outlet side ventilation passage 22 is shown.

Each ventilation pipe inserted in the casing 12
The space 24 outside the space 13 is partitioned by each row of the connected end plates 15, but the interior of each space 24a, 24b, 24c, 24d is not partitioned by a metal plate, so each ventilation pipe 13 The noise that has propagated to is reflected by the entire partitioned space. Although not shown, the entire space 24 may be filled with a glass wool sound deadening material. The arrow in the figure indicates the direction of air flow. In FIG. 1, 36 muffling elements are incorporated by arranging 9 elements connected in series, which are 4 in series. The casing 12 can be formed in several sizes so as to fit the number of the silencing elements 11 to be inserted. Thus, one side 25 of the casing 12

According to the present invention having the above-described structure, by mass-producing silencer elements of the same size, and combining a required number of silencer elements with a casing of a size suitable for incorporating and installing them. It can be applied in almost all cases of required silence volume. Therefore, it is not necessary to individually manufacture the muffling members of various sizes in small amounts as in the conventional case, so that it is possible to provide it at a significantly low cost. Thus, according to the muffler of the present invention, it is possible to considerably reduce low frequency noise as well as high frequency noise. In addition, if the basic data of the attenuation amount of one muffling element, and the attenuation amount when an appropriate number is incorporated, is created in advance, the muffling calculation and muffler of Design and manufacturing become extremely easy.
