In particular, the thermosensitive section of the thermostat is a thermosensitive tube 56.
In order to insert the temperature sensitive tube 56 into the outer box 51 in advance, the temperature sensitive tube 56 is fixed to the outer surface of the inner box 52 in advance, and one end communicates with the temperature sensitive tube 56 and the other end is outside the outer box 51 (generally, It is necessary to attach another cylinder 57 extending to the top plate 55) of the machine room. These mounting operations are troublesome. Moreover, it is necessary to insert the temperature sensing part into the tubular body and the temperature sensing tube from the outside (machine room) of the outer box after filling the heat insulating material between the inner and outer boxes.

Since the machine room is generally located in the lower part of the storage, it is troublesome to insert the temperature sensing part into the temperature sensing cylinder. Especially, the distance from the machine room to the temperature sensing cylinder is great. When the pipe is long or the tube is bent in the middle (see Fig. 7)
In addition, the work of inserting the temperature sensing portion is troublesome and the workability is extremely poor.

Further, in the case where the temperature control is performed by the thermostat, the temperature control is performed by using a temperature sensor such as a thermistor as compared with the case where the temperature control is performed by converting the change in the temperature into the change in the electric signal. Recently, temperature control using a temperature sensor is widely used because it is disadvantageous in terms of control accuracy and followability to temperature changes. However, it is extremely difficult to insert a small temperature sensor up to the temperature sensing tube compared to the temperature sensing part of the thermostat, and it is particularly unsuitable when the temperature sensor insertion distance is long. Thermostats were often used in the freezer.

On the other hand, when the temperature sensor is used, the temperature of the inner box which is desired to actually detect the temperature around the temperature sensor is transmitted through the lead wire which is exposed to the air in the machine room and is heated to a temperature close to the outside air temperature. (To be exact, the temperature inside the storage) may be raised, and even though the storage is at the set temperature, the cooling operation is continued due to the influence of the outside air temperature, and the operating cost (power consumption) is increased. There were problems such as the increase in food and the inability to eat food due to overcooling of the storage.
