Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a transparent resin film coating plated steel sheet excellent in brightness and working corrosion resistance at a low cost by thermally melt- sticking a bright chromium plated layer of specified coating weight to the surface of a low carbon steel sheet having specified surface roughness and furthermore a thermoplastic transparent resin film having specified thickness thereon. CONSTITUTION:As for a full-finished low carbon steel sheet with about 0.1 to 1.5mm sheet thickness subjected to annealing and skinpass rolling, the average roughness is regulated to <=0.1mum and the maximum roughness to <=1mum. On this surface, a bright chromium plated layer of 50 to 300mg/m<2> in terms of the content of metal Cr is formed. Moreover, on one side or both sides of the plated surface are thermally melt-stuck a transparent resin film with 10 to 50mum thickness having thermal plasticity via an adhesive having a m.p. lower than that of the same. In the case the average roughness of the plated original sheet is >=0.2mum, preferably, the bright chromium plated layer is formed via a bright nickel plated layer.

2. Description of the Related Art Metallic chrome coatings are widely used for indoor naked applications due to their excellent luster, but they are mainly decorative chrome plated products and stainless steel plates that are plated after processing.
Almost no pre-plated chrome-plated steel sheet is found. This is because the chrome plating film is hard by applying copper plating or nickel plating to the base and has excellent glossiness, scratch resistance and corrosion resistance, but the metal chrome itself is hard,
This is because it is not suitable for a pre-plated steel sheet formed after plating due to poor workability.

In order to improve the working corrosion resistance, which is the drawback, various patents have been disclosed that combine plating and heat diffusion. For example, (1) JP-A-61-766
60 is a steel plate surface coated with nickel to a thickness of 2 to 10 μm, and then a steel plate plated with chromium to a thickness of 1 to 10 μm is heat-treated at a temperature of 800 to 1200 ° C. to obtain a steel plate having excellent corrosion resistance. There is. In addition, (2) JP-A-61
In the case of -79758, nickel and chromium are continuously vapor-deposited or sputtered in a vacuum chamber, for example, with a thickness of 10 μm.
m nickel layer and 23 μm thick chromium layer are adhered, and then nickel and chromium are further diffused in the base iron in an alloying treatment furnace so that the Ni-Cr alloy layer-formed portion is not inferior to stainless steel. You are getting glossy. But,
When a steel plate having a chromium plating layer on the surface is subjected to diffusion treatment in a general protective gas as in the method (1), it is difficult to suppress the oxidation of Cr because the oxygen affinity of Cr is large, and discoloration occurs. Therefore, it is necessary to remove this oxide film. In addition, each method has a drawback that the thickness of chromium is 2 μm or more, and a long plating tank is required for plating a steel sheet, which is not economical.

(3) In Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 5-294911, nickel-plated, heat-diffused, and further double-layer plated with bright nickel and bright chrome to obtain a chrome-plated steel sheet excellent in gloss and corrosion resistance. . This method has a small amount of plating film and is inexpensive, but in applications where the plate thickness is large and the processing strain is large, cracks are likely to occur in the surface layer, and the corrosion resistance decreases due to the cracks, resulting in a plate thickness thinner than a steel plate, Thick steel plates have the drawback of being uneconomical because they must deposit a large amount of nickel before diffusion.

Further, various open patents for coating a resin film on a plated steel plate or a stainless steel plate or coating a resin film have been disclosed. For example, (4) JP-A-63-72379 is characterized in that after a transparent resin layer is provided on the surface of a stainless steel material, a hydrophilic monomer layer is further provided on the resin surface, and graft polymerization is performed by a simultaneous irradiation method. There is disclosed a method for producing a surface-treated stainless steel material having excellent anti-fingerprint property. However, this method was developed for the purpose of being used in a harsh corrosive environment. The latter uses stainless steel as the original plate, and the cost for the resin coating layer and its treatment is high, which is economical. It has the disadvantage that it is not suitable.

Further, for the purpose of providing corrosion resistance by coating a plated steel sheet with a resin film and giving a feeling of the metal itself (5) JP-A-53-88077.
Is disclosed. This is a transparent resin such as acrylic, polyvinyl fluoride or vinyl chloride having a thickness of 15 to 100 μm through a transparent adhesive on a bright plating layer having a thickness of 1 to 30 μm such as tin plating, nickel plating or chrome plating. Films are laminated, and by embossing or scratching the transparent resin film on the surface layer, together with the bright white plating of the base, a transparent resin film-coated steel sheet with a further design is obtained. However, when a plating base plate having a surface roughness that is usually used is used, a glossy plating film cannot be obtained although the appearance of the film obtained by this method is whitish. For chrome plating, thickness 1
Even the chrome plating of μm has a drawback that it requires a long electrolytic plating bath because of low cathode electrolytic deposition efficiency of chrome plating and is not economical.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to solve the above problems, as a result of various studies on the influence of the roughness of the original plate, the bright nickel plating, the bright chrome plating, and the transparent resin film coating condition on the design, the original plate roughness is The smaller the size, the more preferable it is, but it is uneconomical in terms of scratches on the surface during coil transfer and productivity, so when performing direct chrome plating on the original plate, use the center line average roughness of the original plate surface. 0.1
The maximum roughness is 1 μm or less and the maximum roughness is 1 μm or less. further,
2 for nickel and chrome for a bright surface
When layer plating is applied, the center line average roughness of the original plate is 0.2 μm
The following low carbon steel sheets are used. The amount of metallic Cr is 50 to 300 mg / m 2 (when the specific gravity is 7.1, using the plating original plate having the above-described surface roughness directly or through the bright nickel plating having a thickness of 1 to 3 μm as a base. A transparent resin film such as polyester resin, polyethylene resin, polypropylene resin or fluororesin is directly applied to the upper layer without chromate treatment. It was also found that an inexpensive transparent resin film-coated plated steel sheet having a gloss of metallic chromium and excellent in process corrosion resistance can be obtained by coating these films via an adhesive layer and baking at about 150 to 300 ° C. It was

The original plate used in the present invention is a commonly used low carbon steel and has a fully finished plate thickness of 0.1 to 1.5 mm which is annealed and temper rolled, and a center line average roughness of 0.1 μm. The maximum roughness is 1 μm or less or the center line average roughness is 0.2 μm or less. The thicker the original plate is, the greater the deterioration in gloss and corrosion resistance due to partial processing strain during bending, so it is 1.5 mm or less, preferably 1.0 mm or less. Also, the surface roughness of the original plate has a great influence on the design of the product, but especially when the base is not coated with bright nickel, it has the effect of improving the gloss by bright chrome plating. Moreover, the maximum roughness is preferably 1 μm or less. When bright nickel is applied as the undercoat, the center line average roughness of the original plate is 0.
The thickness is 2 μm or less, and more preferably a cold rolled steel sheet having a center line average roughness of 0.1 μm or less.

FIG. 1 shows the influence of the original plate roughness on the surface gloss when a low-carbon steel plate is directly plated with bright chrome with a plating amount of 200 mg / m 2 without applying bright nickel plating. is there. The gloss level is Nippon Denshoku Co., Ltd.
It is a value measured by a gloss meter “VG-2PD” (reflection angle: 20 °), but if the average roughness of the original plate exceeds 0.1 μm, a coating with high gloss cannot be obtained even if plated. The smaller the original plate roughness is, the better for glossiness, but 0.03μ
If it is m or less, it is uneconomical in terms of scratching the surface of the coil during conveyance and productivity.

Further, even when two-layer plating of bright nickel plating and bright chrome plating is performed on the original plate, if the average roughness of the original plate is 0.2 μm or more, the desired gloss will be obtained even if the bright nickel plating is performed. Steel sheet with good properties cannot be obtained. Therefore, it is recommended that the center line average roughness of the original plate be 0.2 μm or less, and preferably 0.10 μm or less, which is the same as that of the plated original plate not plated with nickel.

The effect of the thickness of the bright nickel plating on the gloss varies depending on the type and amount of the brightening agent to be added, but if it is 1 μm or less, the desired gloss cannot be obtained. Further, even if it is adhered to a thickness of 3 μm or more, the effect is saturated and it is uneconomical, so the range is 1 to 3 μm.

Electrolytic chrome plating is applied to one or both sides of a bright plated original plate or a plated steel plate plated with bright nickel as a base. Two
Fig. 2 shows the effect of the amount of chromium plating on the gloss when using as a plating base plate. Chromium plating amount is 50-300m
g / m 2 is preferred. When the amount is 50 mg / m 2 or less, the glossiness as glossy chrome cannot be secured, and when the amount is 300 mg / m 2 or more, the effect on the glossiness reaches a saturation level, and the productivity as strip plating is reduced, which is not economical. Is. More preferably glossy and economical 10
It is 0 to 200 mg / m 2 . The bright chrome plating conditions are not particularly specified, and a commonly used TFS (tin-free steel) plating bath or a Sargent bath can be used. Chromium oxide is inevitably generated because chromium has a strong oxygen affinity.
This coating contributes to the improvement of corrosion resistance, but if it is excessive, it deteriorates the gloss, so it is 30 mg / m 2 or less, preferably 20 m.

Without subjecting the above-mentioned surface-treated steel sheet to chromate treatment or phosphoric acid treatment generally used, a single layer of polyester, polyethylene or fluorinated ethylene having a thermoplastic property and a thickness of 10 to 50 μm is used. After coating a transparent resin film or a transparent resin film having an adhesive layer having a melting point lower than that of the resin film, the steel sheet is heated to 100 to 300 ° C. to heat-bond the film.

The reason for defining the film thickness is 10 μm.
This is because if it is below, it becomes difficult to coat the coil coating line uniformly at an economical rate, and if it is 50 μm or more, it is not economical and the glossiness of the transparent film is lowered.

In Comparative Example 9, the chrome-plated steel sheet was not coated with the transparent resin film, and in Comparative Example 10, the heating temperature after coating the film was low. The former was inferior in corrosion resistance and the latter was inferior in adhesion. . In Comparative Examples 11 and 12, the maximum roughness of the surface of the original plate is higher than the specified value. Particularly, Comparative Example 12 is used as a plating original plate for tinplate and the like, and the glossiness is poor.

Example 2 Four types of low carbon steel sheets shown in Table 4 were used as test materials, subjected to cleaning treatment and activation treatment by alkaline degreasing and sulfuric acid pickling, and then a gloss of 1.5 μm in the Watt bath described below. Example 1 after nickel plating and further washing with water without drying
Under the conditions described in (1), bright chromium plating with an adhesion amount of 100 to 200 mg / m 2 was performed. This plated steel sheet has a thickness of 16 μm
After coating the polyester resin film of
The coated film was heated to 0 ° C. to provide adhesion.
The characteristics of the film-coated plated steel sheet were evaluated by adhesion, glossiness and corrosion resistance, and the results are shown in Table 5. The thicker the plating original plate, the greater the elongation of the film in the 90 ° bent portion, but no rust was found in any of the samples in the salt spray test 72 hours. In Example 5, bright nickel was directly coated with a transparent resin film, and a yellowish luster was obtained although the appearance was not white, such as metallic chromium. In Comparative Example 6, bright nickel and bright chrome plating were treated in the same manner as in Example, but the transparent resin film was not coated, and in Comparative Example 7, 3 μm thick matte nickel plating was performed, and then at 550 ° C. in a non-oxidizing atmosphere. Heat diffusion was performed for 5 hours, and bright nickel plating having a thickness of 1.5 μm and bright chrome plating were treated in the same manner as in the example, but the plating base plate was thick and cracked in the plating layer due to processing, resulting in transparent resin film coating. The corrosion resistance of the processed part was inferior because it was not processed.
