Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the piezoelectric receiver with excellent sound quality by providing a projection wall to a surrounding of sound holes of a front case so as to prevent resonance vibration of the front case caused when vibration is produced thereby improving the sound pressure frequency characteristic. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric ceramic plate 1 is adhered to an upper face of a metallic base 2 to form a piezoelectric plate. Furthermore, in this piezoelectric plate, the surrounding of the metallic base 2 is inserted between a front case 4 having sound holes 3 and a rear case 5. Then a ring shaped projection wall 7 is provided to the surrounding of the sound holes 3 in the front case 4, then the resonance vibration of the front case 4 caused when a drive voltage is applied to electrodes on the front and rear sides of the piezoelectric ceramic plate 1 through lead wires 6a, 6b is hardly vibrated by the presence of the projection wall 7 and then attenuated.
