シールリップを備えた第1シール部材と、該第1シール
部材の密封対象流体側に配置された第2シール部材と、
を備えた密封装置において、 前記第2シール部材は、ハウジング内周に嵌着される外
筒部と、該外筒部の密封対象流体側端縁から半径方向内
方に向かって延びる内向きフランジ部と、内向きフラン
ジ部の内径端に設けられ回転軸外周に摺動自在に密封接
触するシールリップと、外筒部の密封対象流体側端縁の
外周に設けられた段部と、該段部に一体的に設けられる
ゴム状弾性体製の外周シール部と、前記内向きフランジ
部に設けられ密封対象流体側と第1及び第2シール部材
間の空間を連通する連通孔と、を具備し、 前記第1シール部材は、前記第2シール部材の外筒部内
