れているが加工コストが高いという欠点を有していた。
一方、ポリプロピレン樹脂は、優れた耐熱性、耐薬品
性、電気的特性及び機械的強度を有し、且つ、安価であ
るため、真空成形等によって二次成形されて、建材、電
気製品、自動車部品など各種工業部品等の分野で用いら
れている。しかし、ポリプロピレン樹脂には非常に燃焼
し易い欠点があり、近年、難燃性を有するポリプロピレ
ンシートに対する要求が高まっていた。
