ナットを直ちに使用することができるようにしたもので
ある。しかし第6図に示す如く、端子6の背面後方にナ
ット7からはみだしたボルト8の逃げ代間隙(寸法Aの
部分)9が形成されているため、ボルト8をナット7に
螺締しようとする場合、ボルト8に押圧されたナット7
が上記ボルト8の逃げ代間隙9の部分へ滑り落ちてしま
うので、螺締することが出来ないという欠点があった。
これを阻止するため、指先でナットを支えることも考え
られるが、自動二輪車の鉛蓄電池端子部はコンパクトに
設計されているので、上記ボルト8の逃げ代間隙9の部
分に指先が入らず、ナットを支えることは困難であっ
た。
