Abstract

PURPOSE:To clean a room till corners easily by a simple constitution, and reduce troubles of a floor sensor, by providing a bumper to form a ventilation passage to connect to a suction port along a wall surface when a main body gets in contact with the wall surface. CONSTITUTION:A resilient bumper is installed from a front part of a main body 2 of a floor brush to be extended to both side surfaces, and irregularities to form a ventilation passage 9a to connect to a suction port 5 by recessed parts almost at a constant interval are formed continuously. In cleaning a corner, a side surface of the bumper gets in contact with a wall surface W to prohibit suction of air along a floor surface F, when an air current is generated through the ventilation passage 9a of the recessed parts in the bumper to flow from an upper part of the main body along the wall surface W to reach the suction port 5. As a result, dust around a corner part C is sucked easily. Similarly, in the case of the corner part C where the floor surface F crosses the right or left wall surface W, or the corner part C of a three-dimensional form where the floor surface F crosses the right and left wall surfaces W, dust is sucked through the ventilation passage 9a formed of the recessed parts in the bumper.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION A so-called loose rotary brush built-in type floor brush is known in which a rotary brush is rotated by a motor provided inside a floor brush of an electric vacuum cleaner. If you use a rotating brush to remove dust and dirt from the carpet floor while cleaning it, it has the advantage of being easy to operate and performing thorough cleaning. Furthermore, if a floor sensor is attached to the main body of the floor brush and the rotation of the built-in rotary brush is automatically controlled while the presence or absence of the floor surface is detected by the floor sensor, the switch switching operation is unnecessary and it becomes more convenient.

When the conventional floor brush 1 is used for cleaning the corners from the center of the room, the main body 2 approaches the wall surface and the front bumper 9 contacts the wall surface. At this time, FIG.
As shown in FIG. 5, the bumper 9 made of an elastic material comes into close contact with the wall surface to block the flow of air, and the ventilation passage leading from the front surface of the main body 2 to the suction port 5 is closed. For this reason, the air flow on the bottom surface of the main body 2 from the suction port to the tip is stagnated, and dust or dust is left near the corner where the wall and the floor are attached.

In order to suck in dust and dirt left in the corner, the floor brush 1 may be replaced with another suction accessory such as a nozzle. To replace the accessory, stop the electric blower each time and insert the nozzle into the end of the flexible tube with the extension pipe removed. After sucking the dust in the corner with the replaced nozzle, the floor brush 1 must be attached to the end of the extension pipe by the reverse operation again. In other words, the replacement operation of the floor brush 1 involving the fitting and removal of the pipes at a plurality of closely contacting points and the attachment and detachment of the connection portion that is reliably locked for electrical connection is extremely troublesome.

It is also practiced to neglect the troublesome replacement operation and to slide the floor brush 1 still attached to the extension pipe back and forth while pressing it strongly against the floor surface to forcefully suck in the dust in the corner. . In this case, the repeated strong sliding motion of the main body 2 may cause the floor brush 1 to be worn or damaged. In addition, turbulent airflow is generated by the reciprocating motion of the floor brush 1 and back and forth, and dust and dust are floated up on the floor surface. The dust or dust that is lifted up will enter the inside of the storage portion 10a through the gap G of the floor sensor 10. As a result, the dust that has entered inside adheres to the bearing of the swing shaft 16 and the surface of the ball 18, and a frictional force is generated at the contact portion, which makes movement unsmooth and causes a malfunction in the detection of the floor surface. Also becomes.

Further, in the swing frame 17 of the floor sensor 10 in the conventional floor brush 1, no special consideration is given to the stop position at the lower limit of the swing range. Therefore, if the main body 2 having a structure in which the lower limit of the swing range is not taken into consideration is lifted during cleaning, the swing end 17a reaches the lower limit of the swing along with the lifting operation. Then, as shown in FIG. 14, the swing end 17a
Will protrude from the bottom surface of the case 4 by δ. When such a floor brush 1 is used to clean a floor surface having an uneven portion such as a sill or a floor having an angled small lost article, the swing end 17a of the swing frame 17 is caught by the uneven portion and the lost article and damaged. There were various problems such as.

When the floor brush is placed on the floor surface, the weight of the floor brush acts on the floor sensor to compress the coil spring. And
The swing frame swings and is drawn into the main body. At the same time, the swing shaft rotates to close the switch, the motor is driven, and the dust on the carpet is knocked out by the rotation of the rotating brush. If the floor brush is slid in this state, the knocked dust is sucked through the suction port to clean the floor.
