In recent years, as the high density mounting of electronic components in electronic devices such as communication devices has progressed, the natural convection air cooling method is no longer adopted. This is because the exhaust heat capacity of the natural convection air cooling method is relatively low. Therefore, the forced convection air cooling method, which has much higher exhaust heat capacity than the natural convection air cooling method, has been switched to, but the life of the cooling fan used there is about 30,000 hours (about 2 years in normal use). Therefore, since the cooling fan needs to be replaced regularly, the mounting structure must take into consideration workability in mounting and demounting the cooling fan.

FIG. 6 shows the front side of the cabinet 10 with the door 14 removed, and FIG. 7 shows a side cross-section of the cabinet 10 when it is cut vertically. As is clear from FIGS. 6 and 7, four stages of shelves 20 are provided between both side walls of the box-shaped frame body 12 of the cabinet 10, and each shelf 20 has a pair of long mold members on both sides thereof. Formed by hanging on a wall. A shelf unit 22 is mounted on each of the other shelves 20 except the uppermost shelf 20.
A plurality of circuit packages 24 having a function as an electronic exchange are stored in.

In the illustrated example, three cooling fans 26 are mounted on the uppermost shelf 20 of the cabinet 10, and these cooling fans 26 are supported by a conventional mounting structure. More specifically, as is apparent from FIG. 7, an air flow deflecting plate 28 is provided between a pair of long mold members that form the uppermost shelf 20, and the air flow deflecting plate 28 is the pair of mold members. Of the pair of mold members, the front wall portion 30 standing upright from the front mold member, the rear wall member 32 standing upright from the rear mold member of the pair of mold members and lower than the front wall member 30, and the front wall. An upper side wall part that extends horizontally slightly backward from the upper end of the part 30 and that slopes from there to the upper end of the rear wall part 32
It consists of 34 and. The three cooling fans 26 are attached to the front wall portion 30 of the air flow deflecting plate 28, and the driving of the cooling fans 26 causes forced convection of air in the cabinet 10 as indicated by arrows in FIG. To be made.
That is, when the cooling fan 26 is driven, external air is taken into the cabinet 10 through the ventilation holes 16 on the lower side of the door 14 of the cabinet 10, and the taken-in air is distributed between the circuit packages 24 in the shelf unit 22. After going up through the passage and then being deflected by the air flow deflector 28, it is again discharged to the outside through the vent hole 18 above the door 14 of the cabinet 10. Due to such forced convection of the air flow, the heat generated from the circuit package 24 is sequentially exhausted.

With reference to FIG. 8, the conventional mounting structure for mounting the cooling fan 26 on the front wall portion 30 of the air flow deflecting plate 28 will be described in more detail. A circular opening 36 is formed and the cooling fan 26 is positioned with respect to the front wall 30 such that its rotating blades 38 are aligned with the opening 36 when mounted. As is apparent from FIG. 8, the mechanical attachment of the cooling fan 26 to the front wall portion 30 is performed by the set screw 40, and each set screw 40 is formed at the corner portion of the frame 42 of the cooling fan 26 at this time. Insertion hole
It is screwed into the corresponding screw hole 46 of the front wall portion 30 through 44. In addition, the power cord 48 extending from the cooling fan 26
A power plug 50 is provided at the tip of the plug, and this plug 50 is connected to a power connector 52 provided on a front mold member of a pair of mold members constituting the uppermost shelf 20.

Now, in the typical mounting structure example of the conventional cooling fan as described above, when the cooling fan 26 is mounted, first, the insertion hole 44 of the frame 42 is inserted into the front wall portion of the air flow deflecting plate 28.
It is necessary to screw the set screw 40 into the screw hole 46 while holding the cooling fan 26 so as to be aligned with the screw hole 46 of 30. However, such mounting work is more troublesome and troublesome than expected. Becomes This is because the mounting position of the cooling fan 26 is the uppermost part of the cabinet 10, and the mounting position is a position slightly intruded from the front side of the cabinet 10. In particular, in the conventional case, the set screw 40 is often accidentally dropped when the set screw 40 is screwed in or removed, and at this time, the set screw 40 is inserted into the shelf unit 22 in the cabinet 10. If it gets in, it will be extremely troublesome to take out. In short, the conventional cooling fan mounting structure has problems in that the mounting workability is poor and that the smooth progress of the mounting work can be hindered by the fall of the set screw.

As is apparent from FIGS. 3 and 4, when the base frame 62 is positioned at the cooling fan installation location, the mounting piece 74 extending from the base frame 62 covers the upper side of the mounting holding member 78. In this case, the mounting allowance 76 is arranged between the head of the set screw 86 and the front wall surface of the attachment holding member 78, and the set screw 86 is accommodated in the open hole 87. By tightening the set screw 86 in such a state, the base frame 62 is securely held between the attachment holding member 78 and the abutting holding member 84, and the cooling fan 54 is attached at a predetermined attachment position. It will be. A power plug 94 is provided at the tip of the power cord 92 extending from the cooling fan 54, and the plug 92 is connected to a power connector 96 provided on the front wall surface of the attachment holding member 78.

As apparent from the above description, according to the present invention, the cooling fan is installed on the inclined surface of the front wall portion of the air flow deflecting plate through the guide path of the attachment holding member through the base frame on which the cooling fan is fixedly mounted. By moving the base frame toward the location and abutting the base frame against the abutment holding member, the base frame is reliably and accurately positioned at the place where the cooling fan is installed, and while maintaining this state, the base frame is attached and held by the fixing means. Since it can be fixed to the member, it has excellent workability in mounting or replacing the cooling fan, and can perform the mounting / removing work quickly and reliably. Further, when a set screw is used as the fixing means for fixing the base frame to the attachment holding member, the mounting allowance of the mounting piece extending from the base frame should be fixed by the head of the set screw so that it can be inserted and removed freely. For example, since the set screw is prevented from falling during the attachment / detachment work of the cooling fan, the set screw drop does not hinder the progress of the attachment / detachment work of the cooling fan as in the conventional case. In the present invention, the work of attaching the cooling fan to the base frame is accompanied, but since this is performed in a state of being taken out from the cabinet, there is no particular problem.
