Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a building material such as a woody floor material from creaking, and to keep such an effect for a long time by applying a creaking preventing liquid consisting of glycerine, a surface active agent and a diluent to joints between the building materials which are continuously laid. CONSTITUTION:Woody floor members 1 lined with cushion materials 2 are laid on a floor base G, and are made into close contact with one another through tongues 3 and grooves 4 so as to obtain floors 5, 5'. Next, a creaking preventing liquid 9 is fed from a container 8 to parts 7 of joints which cause creaking, and accordingly, it penetrates through the joints 7 and into the tongues 3 so as to prevent the woody floor materials from creaking. The creaking preventing liquid 9 is composed of a surface active agent which is selected from those compatible with glycerine, such as alkylamine chloride. Further, a diluent which serves as a viscosity reducer for lowering the viscosity of glycerine, and accordingly, the latter can readily penetrates through the joints 7, and is selected from those compatible with glycerine, such as water or alcohol. With this arrangement, it is possible to prevent the woody building material 1 from creaking.
