Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the pillow having a heat radiating effect or heat retaining effect by providing the surface part of the pillow with a ceramic holding parts and holding ceramics of a powdery; granular or spherical form or a mixture composed of all or a part of these forms in these holding parts. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the pillow 1 is provided with plural cylindrical cloth bag parts which are formed as the ceramic holding parts 2. The ceramics 3 are housed within the ceramic holding parts 2. The ceramics which consist mainly of carbon ceramics, are mixed with alumina ceramics and are formed in the granular form are used as the ceramics. Ceramics, such as titanium carbide (TiC), silicon carbide (SiC) and calcium carbide (Ca2C), having a high thermal conductivity are utilized as the carbon ceramics. The pillow having the adequate heat insulating characteristic is constituted by selecting the known ceramics having proper radiation characteristics of far IR rays.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventional pillows for bedding are required to maintain an appropriate height and to have appropriate flexibility and elasticity, and to dissipate heat radiated from the head well to induce sleep. In addition to materials that have been used for a long time, such as cotton, buckwheat hulls, adzuki beans, various materials such as sponges and resin beads made of synthetic resin such as urethane resin have been tried.

However, the above-mentioned conventional pillow, which uses natural materials such as buckwheat hulls and red beans, can obtain appropriate flexibility and elasticity, but on the other hand, molds, mites and insects are generated inside. There is a problem that odors are generated because various bacteria propagate and become unsanitary, and those using synthetic resin have a relatively small occurrence of mites, but have a unique odor,
In addition, there is a problem that heat dissipation is poor, and there is a problem that the effect of dissipating heat from the head cannot be expected very much.

1 and 2 show a pillow of an embodiment according to the basic structure of the present invention. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the pillow, and FIG. 2 is a sectional view of a central portion thereof. In this example, a plurality of tubular cloth bag portions are provided on the surface of the pillow 1 to form the ceramics holding portion 2. The ceramics 3 is encapsulated inside the ceramics holder 2. In consideration of heat dissipation characteristics, the ceramics of this example is mainly composed of carbon-based ceramics, and granular ceramics in which alumina-based ceramics are mixed are used. Carbon-based ceramics are titanium carbide (Ti
C), silicon carbide (SiC), calcium carbide (Ca2
Ceramics with good thermal conductivity such as C) can be used. Pillows holding ceramics with good thermal conductivity like this
It has a high heat dissipation effect of heat generated from the head, and is most suitable as a sick person who has heat on the head and as a pillow in the summer. In addition, it is also possible to obtain a pillow having appropriate heat and heat characteristics by selecting a well-known ceramic having appropriate radiation characteristics of far infrared rays without requiring particularly high heat dissipation characteristics, such as a pillow for winter. An appropriate pillow can be obtained according to the use. Further, as is well known, since the antibacterial effect and the deodorant effect of ceramics impart an antibacterial effect and a deodorant effect to the pillow, there is an effect that a hygienic and comfortable pillow can be obtained. In addition to carbon-based ceramics, alumina-based or magnesia-based ceramics are appropriately mixed, or by using a composite obtained by mixing and sintering these, more antibacterial properties and
It can also be used as a pillow with enhanced deodorant effect.

The shape of the ceramics holder does not have to be provided so as to be exposed on the surface of the pillow, as shown in FIG. You don't have to. In such a bag-shaped ceramic holding part, by adjusting the volume of the bag,
It is also possible to control the amount of ceramics to be held arbitrarily, to hold a large amount of ceramics inside, and to obtain a pillow having particularly improved heat dissipation and thermal properties.

The ceramic holding portion is not limited to a cylindrical bag, but may be a quilting bag or any other shape as shown in FIG. 4, and can hold powdery, granular, or spherical ceramics. Any structure may be used, for example, bead-shaped ceramics with holes, those held on the pillow surface by fine threads, or especially when it is not necessary to hold a large amount of ceramics,
As shown in FIG. 5, powdered ceramics may be adhered to the pillow surface with an adhesive. Further, by making the bag-shaped or plate-shaped ceramic holding portion detachable from the pillow body, the ceramic holding portion can be replaced for convenience of washing and cleaning.
