Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an antenna for portable device for mobile communication terminal which is suitable to a miniaturization and whose characteristic is difficult to disperse by supporting an auxiliary earth conductor by the supporting member which is integrated with a support member. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary earth conductor 81 is provided in parallel with an auxiliary antenna conductor 61 to be connected with an antenna conductor 20 to be provided on the upper surface of a support member 10 composed of insulating material and the earth conductor 81 is connected with an earth conductor 30 to be provided on the lower surface of the support member 10. By this constitution, the miniaturization of an antenna for portable device for mobile communication terminal due to the increase of capacity components becomes possible. Because the space between the auxiliary earth conductor 81 and the auxiliary antenna conductor 61 is stipulated by the shape of the support member 71 supporting the auxiliary earth conductor 81, the dispersion of the characteristic of an antenna can be prevented at the time of mounting or assembling the antenna.

[0002] In mobile communication systems, the space diversity system is generally adopted, and therefore, two antennas, that is, an antenna for both transmission and reception and an antenna for reception only are used in a portable device. A so-called inverted F type antenna is exclusively used as a reception-only antenna, and an antenna suitable for miniaturization and having less characteristic variation is desired.

Along with the downsizing of portable devices, downsizing of the antenna is also required. As a conventional technique for downsizing an antenna, it is known to bring a ground plane close to the side surface of the antenna. By bringing the ground plane closer to the side surface of the antenna, the capacitance component increases, which allows the antenna to be downsized.

In order to bring the ground surface close to the side surface of the antenna, for example, the ground surface is provided on the inner surface of the housing in which the antenna is housed, and the side surface of the antenna faces the ground surface. Place the antenna. Therefore, when the antenna is mounted in the housing or when the housing is assembled, the distance between the conductor of the antenna and the ground surface varies, and the antenna characteristics are not stable.
