(Problems to be solved by the invention) By the way, although the air conditioner is designed to withstand use for a period of about 10 years, if it is used continuously beyond this service life, The relative inferior durability of electrical system components is a problem. That is, since the mechanical parts constituting the refrigeration cycle still have sufficient durability, it is possible to continue to use the air conditioner beyond its service life. On the other hand, the electrical parts of the electrical parts box are inferior in durability to the mechanical parts, so if the air conditioner continues to be used beyond the service life without maintenance such as inspection and replacement of parts, Since the insulation deteriorates further from parts with low durability, safety measures to prevent electric fires have become an issue in consideration of the case of being used as it is.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides an air conditioner in which an electric parts box in which electric parts, a wiring board, etc. are incorporated is housed in the main body of the air conditioner. The present invention is characterized in that an extinguishing agent container in which a extinguishing agent is enclosed is provided inside the main body, and is made of a resin having a relatively low melting point. The extinguishant container may be provided inside the main body or inside the electrical component box.

(Operation) When fire occurs due to deterioration of the insulation of the insulator inside the electrical parts box, the heat extinguishes the extinguishant container inside the body of the air conditioner, and the extinguishing agent contained in the container extinguishes the ignition area. So it will be extinguished automatically. Further, since the power supply circuit is cut off before the extinguishant container starts to melt, it is possible to prevent the fire from re-igniting after it has spread and once it has been extinguished.

In FIG. 1, reference numeral 8 indicates a case of the electric component box. A printed wiring board 9 is fixed to the inner side surface of the case 8, and a relay 10 which constitutes a power supply circuit is incorporated in the printed wiring board 9. As shown in FIG. 2, the power source 11 is connected via a relay 10 to the compressor of the outdoor unit 12 and the fan blower.

A casing-shaped extinguishant container 13 is fixed to the ceiling surface inside the case 8 of the electric component box 6. This extinguisher container 13
Is molded from a low melting point synthetic resin that melts at a relatively low temperature.
A material that melts at a temperature of about 100 ° C is selected.
A chemical extinguishant is enclosed in the extinguishant container 13.

Next, such a digestive agent container 13 is provided with a temperature detector 14 for detecting the surface temperature thereof, and in FIG. 2, the temperature signal output from the temperature detector 14 is introduced into the control circuit 15. . The control circuit 15 compares this temperature signal with a preset temperature stored in advance, that is, a temperature close to the melting point of the material of the extinguishant container 12 described above (95 ° C. in this embodiment), and digests it. When it is determined that the surface temperature of the agent container 13 has approached the melting point higher than this set temperature, an operation signal for turning off the contact of the relay 10 is output.

Then, in the electrical component box 6 configured as described above, when the insulation of the insulator of the printed wiring board 9 deteriorates and ignition occurs due to discharge, the surface temperature of the extinguishant container 13 rises. . This rise in surface temperature is due to the extinguishant container
When the melting point of the material of 13 is exceeded, the material of the digestive agent container 13 melts. In this case, since the extinguishant container 13 is fixed inside the case 8 of the electric component box 6 and fixed to the ceiling surface, the extinguishant contained therein scatters below the extinguishant container 13, resulting in ignition. The part is extinguished immediately.

On the other hand, even if the ignition part of the printed wiring board 9 is once extinguished as described above, if the compressor of the outdoor unit 12 and the electric motor of the fan are still operating, there is a risk of ignition again.

However, when the surface temperature of the extinguishant container 13 rises to 95 ° C., which is close to the melting point where the extinguishant container 13 begins to melt, the contact of the relay 10 is already turned off in response to the operation signal output from the control circuit 15. . Therefore, since the connection between the power supply circuit and the outdoor unit 12 is cut off, the printed wiring board 9 is not discharged and the spread of fire is prevented, and the ignition part of the printed wiring board 9 is extinguished once as described above. After that, it is prevented from re-igniting.

As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, a fire extinguisher made of a resin having a relatively low melting point is used in the inside of the main body of the air conditioner, such as the inside upper part of the air conditioner or the inside of the electric component box. Since a fire extinguisher container filled with is attached, the electric parts inside the electric parts box will be discharged, and even if a fire occurs, the fire extinguishing agent will extinguish the fire before it becomes an electric fire, ensuring safety and reliability against electric fires. Is significantly improved.
