Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable printing in high resolution to be carried out over a wide range of matter to be printed by a method wherein pressing force on a screen with a squeegee on one end side of the screen on a start point side of transfer is made larger than that on the other end side of the screen on an end point side of transfer, and that on the other end side is made smaller than that on one end side. CONSTITUTION:A squeegee 3 is transferred by a speed of a curve wherein pressing force at a middle point of a matter to be printed is almost constant, pressing force at a start point is larger than that at the middle position and decreases toward the middle position, the pressing force on an end point side is smaller than that at the middle position and the pressing force decreases toward the end point. When pressing force of the squeegee 3 on a screen 2 is large, a discharge amount of a thick film paste 4 increases. When the pressing force is small, the discharge amount decreases. Therefore, blur in printing becomes difficult to be generated even at one side end of the screen 2 on the start point side wherein blur in printing is apt to be generated, and bleeding in printing is difficult to be generated even on the other end side of the screen 2 on the end point side wherein bleeding in printing is apt to be generated. Printing in high resolution can be carried out over a wide range of the matter to be printed 1.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in this type of screen printing method, as shown in FIGS.
The screen 2 is arranged on the object 1 to be printed such as a ceramic substrate forming the C at a predetermined interval, and from one end side of the screen 2 which is the starting point side of the movement of the squeegee 3 as shown in FIG. The squeegee 3 is moved to the other end side of the screen 2 which is the end point side of the movement of the squeegee 3 as shown in FIG. 1 with a constant pressing force (squeegee pressure), and the thick film paste 4 supplied onto the screen 2 is printed on the substrate 1 It is applied on top and a predetermined pattern is printed.

When the thick film paste 4 is a resistance paste, a resistance pattern is printed on the printed material 1, and when the thick film paste 4 is a conductor paste, a wiring pattern is printed on the printed material 1. When the thick film paste 4 is printed and the glaze paste is used, the insulating film is printed on the printing target 1.

However, as shown in FIG. 3, the screen 2 where the squeegee 3 is the starting point side of the movement is shown.
The angle θ1 formed between the screen 2 and the substrate 1 when the squeegee 3 is on one end side, and the screen 2 when the squeegee 3 is on the other end side of the screen 2 which is the end point side of the movement, as shown in FIG. The angle θ2 with the substrate 1 is θ1 <θ2

Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3, the squeegee 3
Is on the one end side of the screen 2 which is the starting point side, the distance between the screen 2 and the substrate 1 becomes narrow,
The amount of the thick film paste 4 ejected from the screen 2 is reduced, and print blur easily occurs. Further, as shown in FIG. 4, when the squeegee 3 is on the other end side of the screen 2 which is the end point side thereof, the distance between the screen 2 and the substrate 1 is widened, and the thick film paste 4 is removed from the screen 2. However, there is a problem in that it is difficult to perform high-resolution printing over a wide area of the printing target 1 due to an increase in the ejection amount of the printing ink.

In order to achieve such an object, in the screen printing method of the present invention, the pressing force of the squeegee on the screen is adjusted so that the one end side of the screen, which is the starting point side of the movement, moves. The screen is characterized in that it is made larger than the other end side of the screen, which is the end point side, and smaller than the one end side at the other end side.

When the pressing force of the squeegee on the screen is large, the discharge amount of the thick film paste from the screen increases, and when the pressing force of the squeegee on the screen is small,
The discharge amount of the thick film paste from the screen is reduced.
Therefore, print blurring is likely to occur, print blurring is less likely to occur on the one end side of the screen which is the start point side of the movement of the squeegee, and print blurring is likely to occur on the other end side of the screen which is the end point side of the squeegee movement where print blurring is likely to occur. This is less likely to occur, and high-resolution printing can be performed on a wide area of the printing material.

FIG. 1 shows a squeegee 3 shown in FIGS. 3 and 4.
7 shows changes in the pressing force of the squeegee 3 of the embodiment of the present invention with respect to the screen 2 between the start point and the end point of the movement of FIG. In this embodiment, the squeegee 3 is shown in FIGS.
In the intermediate position of the printing medium 1 shown in FIG. 2, the pressing force is moved at a substantially constant pressing force, and at the starting point side, the pressing force is drawn so as to draw a curve that is larger than the intermediate position and becomes smaller toward the intermediate position. Is moved at a speed with a pressing force that draws a curve that is smaller than the intermediate position and becomes smaller toward the end point.

FIG. 2 shows another embodiment of the present invention, in which the squeegee 3 is larger on the start side than on the end side, smaller on the end side than on the start side, and smaller at a constant rate as the squeegee 3 moves. Move with a pressing force that shows such a change.

In any of the above embodiments, when the pressing force of the squeegee 3 against the screen 2 is large, the discharge amount of the thick film paste 4 increases in accordance with the pressing force, and when the pressing force is small, the thick film paste 4 is discharged. Since the discharge amount decreases in accordance with the pressing force, the print blur does not easily occur even on the one end side of the screen 2 which is the starting point side of the movement of the squeegee 3 where the print blur easily occurs, and the print bleeding easily occurs. Printing blurring is less likely to occur on the other end side of the screen 2, which is the end point side of the movement, and high-resolution printing can be performed in a wide area of the substrate 1.

As is apparent from the above description, according to the screen printing method of the present invention, the pressing force of the squeegee against the screen is the starting point side of the movement, and the one end side of the screen is the ending point side of the movement. Since it is made larger than the other end side of the screen and smaller at the other end side than the one end side, it is possible to perform high-resolution printing over a wide area of the printing material.
