Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent smelling of foreign odor or strong irritating smell when burning moxa by reducing the amount of a binder used when forming a sheet- shaped material by recycling waste powder of raw materials for moxa. CONSTITUTION:With 100 pts.wt. waste powder of raw materials for moxa, e.g. moxa lees, waste mugwort and powdery mugwort, 8 to 12wt.% binder, 1 to 12wt.% pulp fiber and 4 to 8wt.% humectant are mixed in the presence of water till the resultant mixture becomes uniform. The resultant wet material paste or slurry is formed into a sheet-shaped material of about 0.15 to 0.18mm thickness and the obtained sheet-shaped material is dried up to 11 to 12wt.% water content, thus producing the sheet-shaped moxa. As the binder, an aqueous solution of CMC, carboxymethylstarch, sodium alginate, polyvinyl alcohol, etc. is used.

As a means for reusing moxa shavings, wormwood scraps, powders and the like as moxibustion raw materials, it is conceivable to solidify them into a sheet. However, in order to mold it into a sheet or any shape, it is useless if the raw material does not have sufficient tensile strength, bending strength and flexibility, and in order to impart those properties, carboxymethyl cellulose is required. , Methyl cellulose, ethyl cellulose, hydroxyl ethyl cellulose, carboxymethyl starch, methyl starch, ethyl starch,
An aqueous solution of oxidized starch, sodium alginate, polyvinyl alcohol, etc. was added as a binder, and the slurry system,
It is possible to mold by rolling method, spreading method, papermaking method, stamping method, etc., but 20% by weight for sheet moxibustion
The above binders are required. Therefore, when the moxibustion is ignited, a considerable offensive odor or a strong irritating odor is generated.

According to the present invention, in the process of producing a moxibustion product, when a sheet-shaped moxibustion is produced from a large amount of waste shavings powder, a pulp fiber is added to produce an offensive odor or an irritating odor. The amount of binder used can be reduced. By combining pulp fibers such as wood pulp, bamboo pulp, bagasse pulp, boropulp, and linter pulp as a physical property enhancer, excellent physical properties such as tensile strength, bending strength, and flexibility can be obtained even if the amount of binder used is reduced. It was possible to produce a sheet-shaped moxibustion that was retained.

Specifically, the binder is 8 to 12% by weight, and the pulp fiber is 1 to 100 parts by weight of the moxa waste powder.
12% by weight and 4 to 8% by weight of a moisturizing agent, and mixed sufficiently in the presence of an appropriate amount of water until uniform, to obtain a wet paste or slurry, which is a known rolling method, spreading method, or slurry. 0.15 to 0.1 depending on the method or papermaking method
It is molded into a sheet shape of about 8 mm and dried to obtain a sheet-shaped moxibustion.

EXAMPLE 4 parts of oxidized starch was added to 40 parts of water and heated to prepare an oxidized starch solution, in which 6 parts of a binder of carboxymethyl cellulose, 6 parts of a humectant of propylene glycol and a length of 1.5 were prepared. ~ 2.0 mm pulp fiber 1.5 parts was added and blended, and 100 parts of powder of moxa having a particle size of 0.15 to 0.20 mm was put into a mixing agent mixture which had been left unchanged for 24 hours and then mixed with a mixing roll. After molding with a calender roll into a sheet with a thickness of about 0.15 mm,
A sheet-shaped moxibustion was manufactured by drying with an infrared dryer at a product temperature of 105 ° C. until the water content became 12%.

EFFECTS OF THE INVENTION The sheet-shaped moxibustion according to the present invention can significantly reduce the amount of the binder used, and therefore has no offensive odor or irritating odor at the time of ignition of moxibustion. Further, since the waste of the moxa generated in the conventional moxibustion manufacturing process can be reused as the moxibustion raw material, the yield can be improved and the cost can be reduced. Further, by forming it into a sheet shape, it can be stacked, rolled up, or used in a string shape, and is convenient for storage.
