Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a water softener capable of surely informing a user of the time for starting the regeneration of ion exchange resin in the water softener for softening a raw water with the ion exchange resin. CONSTITUTION:This water softener is provide with a constant flow valve 23 disposed at the water passage of the raw water and for quantitatively fixing the flow rate of the raw water, a pressure switch 22 for detecting the flow of the raw water and a circuit part 25 for reporting that the water flow time integrated by the signal sent from the pressure switch 22 reaches the set time through an information means LED 27. Then, since the sum of the raw water softened with a water softening vessel 26 through the constant flow valve 23 is accurately recognized from the summed-up of the water flow time detected by the pressure switch 22, the time for starting the regeneration is surely reported to the user.

When water is passed through for a long period of time to soften the water, the capacity of the ion exchange resin decreases, so that it is necessary to regenerate the ion exchange resin. In this case, the case lid 14 is removed, and salt (regenerant) is put into the salt case 7 to pass water. Then, the salt that is the regenerant is dissolved, and the solution is passed through the ion exchange resin to regenerate.

The ion exchange resin is regenerated as described above, but in the above conventional structure,
When soft water is used on a daily basis, it is not known at what point the softening capacity is reduced and regeneration must be performed, because the daily amount of soft water used and the usage time due to water pressure are unknown. Therefore, when the water is actually boiled in a kettle or the like, white floating substances are generated on the surface, or when white precipitates such as magnesium or calcium are generated on the bottom of the kettle or the like, the regeneration time has come. Therefore, there is a problem in that it is difficult to clearly determine when to carry out the rehabilitation.

In FIG. 1, reference numeral 21 is a filter cartridge for filtering dirt and odor of raw water, and a filtered water outflow pipe 28 leading to the salt case 7 is connected to the outlet side thereof. In the middle of the filtered water outflow pipe 28, there are provided a pressure switch 22 that operates when passing water, and a constant flow valve 23 that operates in response to fluctuations in water pressure and passes a constant flow rate. The pressure switch 22 is connected to a circuit section 25 that operates on a dry battery (power source). The power switch is turned on and off by the operation of the pressure switch 22, and the water flow time is read by the circuit section 25. When the softening is performed for a certain period of time and the integrated time reaches the set time set by the circuit, the circuit unit 25 causes the LED 2
7 is turned on to inform the user that the time for performing the reproduction has come. Reference numeral 26 is a water softening container.

FIG. 2 shows the detailed structures of the pressure switch 22 and the constant flow valve 23. In FIG. 2, the filtration outflow pipe 2
A case 24 of the pressure switch 22 is formed from a part of the water channel 8 and a diaphragm 29 that is operated by water pressure is fixed in the case 24. When the diaphragm 29 operates above, the switch 30 operates (ON state). The power source built in the circuit unit 25 is turned on and the circuit unit 25 operates. 31 is a lead wire. When water does not flow, the diaphragm 29 goes down, the switch 30 is turned off, and the power is turned off.
Then, the circuit section 25 is stopped. The circuit unit 25 reads and integrates the time from the ON state to the OFF state and accumulates the water passage time. Further, the constant flow valve 23 operates according to the fluctuation of the water pressure to ensure a constant flow rate. If the water flow rate during water softening changes significantly, the water softening efficiency fluctuates and constant water softening cannot be performed, and since the total water flow is determined by integrating the water flow time, there is a constant flow rate regardless of changes in water pressure. Need to pass water. Therefore, the combination of the pressure switch 22 and the constant flow valve 23 determines an accurate amount of softened water.

[0014] are set to the time setting 40 minutes in this embodiment, through the amount of water pressure 1kgf / cm 2 ~5kgf / cm 2 is 2.5 to 3.5 l / min, 10
The execution of regeneration is informed by the used water flow rate of 0 to 140 liters. Therefore, when 10 liters / day of soft water is used, regeneration is performed once every 10 to 14 days.
