Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a conveying arrangement using a mobile body which has simplified structure and can store hanger devices and loads mutually in parallel and without their rear-end collision in a storage section. CONSTITUTION:A mobile body 5 having a loaded or empty hanger device is travelled through a storage section 37 in a state where the longitudinal direction of a main body 8 intersects parallel rails 35, 36 by actuating a travel drive device in a state where both trolley devices 6, 7 are severally supportedly guided by the parallel rails 35, 36. In a sideways travel state like this, when a following mobile body 5 is approaching a preceding mobile body 5 stopping in the storage section 37, a rear-end collision preventing device functions before the hanger device and a load collide mutually from behind to automatically stop the following mobile body 5. Thus the hanger device and the load can be prevented from the rear-end collision, and each mobile body 5 can be stored with its longitudinal direction arranged in parallel to each other.

According to this conventional type, long articles are conveyed with the electric cylinder extended and the entire length increased. When the contact detection switch of the succeeding self-propelled carrier comes into contact with the operating piece of the self-propelled carrier that has stopped in advance, the traveling control automatically stops this succeeding self-propelled carrier to prevent a rear-end collision. ing. In addition, when stopping an empty self-propelled carrier at the storage section, the electric cylinder is shortened to shorten the overall length, thus increasing storage efficiency.

However, according to the above-mentioned conventional type, the total length can be shortened only by the contracting stroke of the electric cylinder, and the storage can be performed only in series, so that the storage efficiency can be improved so much. There wasn't. Moreover, each self-propelled carrier needs an expensive electric cylinder, and the whole control including the expansion and contraction of the electric cylinder is complicated.

According to the first aspect of the present invention having the above-described structure, the self-propelled body with the hanger device being actual or empty is operated by operating the traveling drive device while both trolley devices are supported and guided by the parallel rails. The storage unit can be run with the length direction of the main body crossing the parallel rails. In such a sideways running state, when the trailing self-propelled body approaches the leading self-propelled body stopped in the storage unit, the rear-end collision prevention device operates before the hanger device or the load collides,
The following self-propelled units can be automatically stopped, and while the structure is inexpensive and easy to control, it can prevent rear-end collisions with hanger devices and loads, and each self-propelled unit can be aligned in the longitudinal direction for efficient storage. it can.
