Due to a measurement error or the like, a deviation from the normal distribution curve B, which is the ideal light intensity distribution of the reflected laser light, is inevitably generated, and the peak value cannot be accurately detected, thus improving the measurement accuracy. There was a problem that I could not.

Is a laser displacement meter that measures the amount of displacement of the object to be measured based on the displacement of the Image sensor and a signal processing device for inputting a light reception signal from the image sensor and calculating the peak position of the light intensity of the reflected laser light, and in the signal processing device, the image sensor receives light. The light intensity distribution curve of the reflected laser light is calculated by the method of least squares, and the reflection laser is calculated based on the peak value of the calculated light intensity distribution curve. It is obtained by construction of so obtaining the light receiving position.

When detecting the displacement of the measured object, it is assumed that the light intensity distribution of the reflected laser light from the measured object is a normal distribution, and when obtaining this normal distribution curve, the approximation by the least square method is used. Since the peak value of the light intensity distribution is calculated, it is possible to eliminate the measurement error due to the spread of the reflected laser light or the non-uniformity of the property of the surface of the DUT, and thus the accurate peak value of the reflected laser light. Since it is possible to obtain the position of, the measurement accuracy of the position of the measured object, that is, the displacement amount of the measured object can be improved.

In order to accurately detect the light receiving position of the reflected laser light reflected from the surface of the object A, the light intensity distribution of the reflected laser light is treated as a normal distribution, and the natural logarithm of the light intensity distribution treated as this normal distribution is taken. The logarithmic curve obtained by taking the natural logarithm is calculated by the least square method using the data detected by the image sensor 4, and the peak value of the logarithmic curve calculated by the least square method, that is, the reflected laser light. The peak position of the light intensity is calculated, and the light receiving position of the reflected laser light is calculated.

Normally, the measured light intensity distribution of the reflected laser light deviates from the normal distribution, but the cause of this deviation, that is, the total of detection errors based on various factors, has properties such as equal distribution and normality. Therefore, it is possible to obtain the light intensity distribution of the reflected laser light in a form in which the measurement error is removed.

When detecting the displacement, it is considered that the light intensity distribution of the reflected laser light from the object to be measured is a normal distribution, and when obtaining this normal distribution curve,
Since the peak value is calculated by using the approximation by the method of least squares, it is possible to remove the measurement error based on the spread of the reflected laser light or the nonuniformity of the property of the measured object surface.
Therefore, the position of the accurate peak value in the reflected laser light can be obtained, so that the measurement accuracy of the position of the measured object, that is, the displacement amount of the measured object can be improved.
