Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce noise due to oscillation of a pump by mounting a cylindrical member for surrounding a fuel discharge opening integrated with a pipe shaped member through a specified space existing on the side surface of the fuel discharge opening and mounting a ring shaped seal member consisting of an elastic rubber member in the space. CONSTITUTION:An electric fuel pump 3 mounted nearly perpendicularly in a fuel tank 1 is supported at its bottom end to a bracket flange 2 by a supporting member 5 through a rubber bush 4 for absorbing oscillation.
