Description of the Related Art In the case of stainless steel strip, it is necessary to perform heat treatment for removing plastic strain after hot rolling, which is usually incorporated in a descaling device and continuously treated. FIG. 2 shows a conventional apparatus for continuously descaling stainless steel strip. The stainless steel strip is sent to the payoff reel 1 and guided to the heat treatment furnace 2 by pulling rolls or pinch rolls. Although it is heated to a predetermined temperature here, in order to keep the scale of the material to be processed as it is during hot rolling, the furnace atmosphere is replaced with a gas that does not increase the oxide film etc., and indirect heating or electrical heating is used. I do. However, normal combustion heating is typically performed. Therefore, even in a reducing atmosphere, the amount of oxide film that must be removed increases slightly because of the existing oxygen.

Descaling of stainless steel strip is often adopted as a preliminary descaling for the descaling method by pickling nitric acid or hydrofluoric acid. This is because the acid resistance of the oxide film existing on the surface is strong only by pickling with nitric acid or hydrofluoric acid, so cracks and thin portions of the oxide film are created to some extent between nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid between the scale and the base material. This is to make it permeate and improve the pickling efficiency.
However, as shown in FIG. 2, when the material to be processed is heat-treated, the material to be processed softens, and thus shot blasting directly bites into the base material, which is difficult to remove even by pickling. Is a serious product defect. Therefore, the water cooling device 3 is required. Even when the pickling device is suddenly arranged without the shot blasting device, it is usual to install some cooling device so that the pickling solution does not boil.

Since multiple types of acids are used in descaling of stainless steel or the like, it is common to install multiple pickling tanks. No. 6 is an apparatus for cleaning cleanly, because if there is residual acid, corrosion by acid will proceed. While passing through these devices, the scale of the stainless steel strip is removed to form a product having a predetermined structure and is tightly wound by the tension reel 7.

It was customary to obtain a beautiful steel plate with no scale on the surface. In this method, when the heat treatment of the steel sheet is performed in a heat treatment furnace, in order to avoid an increase in scale due to oxidation due to combustion, it is replaced with a gas that hinders the promotion of oxidation, and indirect heating and electric heating are considered. However, all of them have been designed as being inefficient and unavoidable to increase the oxide scale layer due to combustion. In other words, even though the surface treatment device array is a metal whose purpose is to remove the oxide film on the surface of the material to be processed, the surface treatment device array inevitably blinds the increase in the oxide film due to the heat treatment of the material to be processed. Has been executed.

Since it becomes a surface defect, it was necessary to perform shot blasting after once cooling with the cooling device 3. In addition, even when directly pickling, care must be taken so that the pickling solution does not boil due to the sensible heat brought in by the heat treatment of the material to be treated.

Since the heat generated in the material can be used as the heat source of the heat treatment of the material to be treated or the auxiliary heat source of the heat treatment, the heat energy cost can be saved. Further, the present invention utilizes the characteristics of the vacuum arc to perform heating in a vacuum after vacuum arc descaling, thereby utilizing the arc heat generated in the material to be processed as a heat source for the heat treatment of the material to be processed and at the same time using the conventional metal. It is possible to perform the descaling work extremely efficiently without increasing the thickness of the scale to be removed as in the surface treatment device row.

This is a line of unique surface treatment equipment that can be implemented when removing stainless steel, which is the material to be treated, by the vacuum arc descaling method to remove surface scale and foreign matter / impurities. The material to be processed is guided from the payoff reel 1 to the shot blast 4. Therefore, the oxide film to be removed by the heat treatment is not increased as compared with the conventional device, and the cooling device 3 before the shot blasting 4 is not necessary. In FIG. 1, the shot blast 4 is guided to the vacuum arc descaling device 8. The vacuum arc descaling device 8 includes a differential pressure seal preliminary chamber 8-1,
8-3, the main processing chamber 8-2, and the electric heat treatment apparatus 9 and controlled under a vacuum of 10 -1 to 10 -6 Torr.
As a vacuum arc electric discharge machine, for example, JP-A-5-11
No. 2813, which is not particularly limited. In this vacuum chamber, arc heat generated in the material to be processed, which is a phenomenon peculiar to this apparatus, becomes a heat source for heat treatment of the material to be processed. However, when the plate thickness of the material to be treated is large, there are cases where the energy required for heat treatment of the material to be treated cannot be covered by the energy required for descaling alone.

Then, this is subtracted from the heat quantity required for the heat treatment, and the difference is given to the material to be processed by the electric heat treatment apparatus 9 through the controller 11 in the shortage. As the electric heat treatment device 9, usually induction heating or electric heating is adopted. In this heat treatment apparatus, since the arc heat generated by the vacuum arc descaling apparatus 8 is used, the energy for heat treatment is greatly saved as compared with the conventional method. Moreover, since it is performed in a vacuum, new generation of an oxide film is suppressed even after descaling, and there is no problem as a product. Reference numeral 12 is a cooling and washing device, but the treatment is simple because it does not contain an acid.

The energy required for is to be kept to a minimum. Moreover, even when the shot blasting is performed, the cooling is not purposely performed in order to prevent the shot particles from being pierced by the shot grains. Further, according to the present invention, scale, foreign matter and impurities are removed in full scale by the vacuum arc descaling device 8 after preliminary removal processing such as shot blasting. At this time, the arc heat generated in the processed material is processed. It can be fully utilized as a heat source for heat treatment of material.

This saves energy required for heating more than before, while at the same time reducing the capacity of the heating device, which saves a considerable amount of the overall length of the metal surface treatment device row for this purpose and is compact. It was possible to make it an array. Moreover, since the heat treatment of the material to be treated is performed in a vacuum, there is no generation of a new oxide film after removing scales, foreign matters and impurities. When the cooling device of FIG. 1 is concerned about oxidation, nitrogen gas cooling or the like is performed.

Depending on the placement of the conductor roll and the steel type and size of the material to be treated, it is about 10 on average.
A temperature rise of 0 ° C can be expected, and it can be reduced by 12 to 15% as a heat source for heat treatment of stainless steel strip. The descaling energy for the increment of 2 μm in the scale thickness depends on the steel type, but it is about 0.5 kWh / m 2 for austenitic stainless steel and 0.2 for ferritic stainless steel.
Descaling energy of ~ 0.3kWh / m 2 can be saved.

Furthermore, when the present invention is applied to a strip of stainless steel, shot blasting is performed prior to heat treatment of the strip, and then vacuum arc discharge heating is performed, so descaling for as-roll scale is performed and scale thickness is increased. Never see an increase in.
