A bed and an arm arranged above the bed,
A needle bar for sewing is hung from the free end of the arm toward the bed, and a hook is provided at the bed portion facing the one stick, and the hook is operated corresponding to the vertical movement of the needle bar. By this, the cloth is sewn with the upper thread supplied through the needle on the needle bar side and the lower thread supplied from the hook, and the lower side lateral to the needle drop position of the needle in the bed. In a sewing machine equipped with an upper thread residual cutting device adapted to cut an upper thread that hangs downward from a cloth on the bed, the upper thread residual cutting device separates the bed lower surface from the lower surface of the bed. A threading hole in which a board fixedly connected to the board and a thread hooking hole provided in a part of itself are arranged along the upper surface of the board so as to be laterally movable between the needle drop position and the top surface position of the board. And the thread hooking hole of the thread pulling piece are located at the position above the substrate. In this state, at the position where it overlaps with the hole edge upper surface of the thread hooking hole in the thread pulling piece, a pressing piece for pinching and capturing the upper thread between the periphery of the thread hooking hole is arranged, and further the needle drop position on the substrate. A thread cutting portion is provided at the upper end portion on the side of, and the pressing piece extends longer toward the needle drop position than the position of the thread cutting portion, and at the start of sewing, the thread dropping position is set at the needle drop position. After overlapping the hooking holes to lower the needle into the thread hooking hole and pulling down the thread end with the tip of the hook of the hook, raise the needle to hang the thread end of the upper thread into the thread hooking hole In the process of moving the thread end in the state from the thread hooking hole of the thread pulling piece at the needle drop position to the upper surface of the board, the upper thread is hooked at the hole edge of the thread hooking hole to retreat, and the thread cutting on the board is performed. The lower end of the upper thread is separated between the portion and the hole edge of the thread hooking hole, and the upper thread is clamped between the pressing piece and the hole edge of the thread hooking hole in the thread pulling piece. In which was to so that.

Next, the operation when sewing is restarted is shown in FIGS.
This will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 8 (A) to 8 (H) are shown in FIG. 7 (A) to
Balance 20, needle 14, needle 21, cloth 2 at the time indicated by (H)
2, the hook 4, and the needle thread residual cutting device 25 are shown respectively. Further, in these drawings, the drawings below the alternate long and short dash line are enlarged views of the main parts. Before and after the start of the operation of the main motor, as shown in FIGS. 8 (A) to 8 (B), the thread pulling piece 29 projects and the through hole 2a and the thread hooking hole 30 are superposed. After that, the needle 14 descends, and, for example, at the time of (C), the eighth
The state shown in FIG. Thereafter, as the needle 14 descends and rises and the shuttle 4 continues to rotate, the sword tip 4a of the shuttle 4 hooks the upper thread 21 as is well known. Therefore, at the time of (D), as shown in FIG. 8 (D). The upper thread 21 hangs downward through the through hole 2a and the thread hooking hole 30. Next, at the time of (E), as shown in FIG. 8 (E), the part 21a of the needle thread 21 which hangs downward due to the retreat of the thread pulling piece 29 has the substrate 26 and the thread pulling piece 29.
Are cut by the respective thread cutting portions 27 and 31, and the lower end of the remaining portion of the upper thread 21 is sandwiched between the capturing surface 32 and the pressing piece 33 and captured there. Immediately after that, the state becomes as shown in FIG. 8 (F). Thereafter, when the needle 14 descends again, as shown in FIG. 8 (G) at the time of (G), the blade point 4a of the shuttle 4 is caught by the loop of the upper thread 21 formed at the position of the next stitch of the cloth 22. . After that, the upper thread 21 caught on the sword tip 4a is caused by the rotation of the hook 4.
The well-known entanglement between the bobbin thread and the bobbin thread fed from the shuttle 4 is achieved. After that, as is well known, the vertical movement of the needle 14 and the rotation of the shuttle 4 are repeated and the cloth 22 is fed in the direction of the arrow 48,
Well-known sewing is performed. Then, in the process in which the cloth 22 is fed in the direction of the arrow 48 in this way, the tip of the upper thread 21 caught in the catching portion is located between the catching surface 32 and the pressing piece 33 as shown in FIG. 8 (H). Get out of. In this case, since the capturing portion is provided at a position extremely close to the through hole 2a, a state in which the tip of the upper thread 21 remains below the cloth 22 for an extremely short length (substantially no remaining upper thread exists) State).

In addition, in the present invention, the thread pulling piece 29 at the needle drop position 2a.
In the process of hooking the upper thread 21 at the hole edge of the thread hooking hole 30 and moving the thread hooking hole 30 to the upper surface position of the board 26, between the thread cutting portion 27 of the board 26 and the hole edge of the thread hooking hole 30. Since the lower end of the upper thread 21 is separated and the upper thread 21 is sandwiched between the pressing piece 33 and the upper thread catching surface 32 of the thread pulling piece 29, the upper thread 21 is extremely short near the needle drop position 2a. Even after cutting, the end of the remaining upper thread 21 is caught in contact with the presser piece 33, and the lower end of the upper thread is inadvertently pulled out of the needle hole or the cloth when the needle 14 is raised or lowered. There is an epoch-making effect that can prevent the accident that occurs.

1. A bed comprising a bed and an arm arranged above the bed. A needle bar for sewing is hung from the free end of the arm toward the bed, and one policy bar is provided on the opposite bed section. Is equipped with a hook, and by operating the hook in response to the vertical movement of the needle bar, sewing of cloth is performed with the upper thread supplied through the needle on the needle bar side and the lower thread supplied from the hook. In addition, a needle thread residual cutting device for cutting the upper thread hanging downward from the cloth on the bed is provided below the side of the needle drop position of the bed. In the sewing machine, the needle thread residual cutting device includes a substrate that is fixedly connected to the bed and is spaced apart from the lower surface of the bed, and a thread hooking hole that is provided in a part of the substrate and the needle drop position and the substrate. Align the top surface of the board so that it can move laterally between the top surface position. Between the thread-pulling piece that is arranged in a line and the peripheral edge of the thread-placing hole at a position where the thread-placing piece overlaps with the hole edge upper surface of the thread-pulling piece in the thread-pulling piece in a state where the thread-placing hole of the thread-pulling piece is at the upper surface position of the substrate. Arrange a holding piece to pinch and capture the upper thread with,
Further, a thread cutting portion is provided on the upper surface edge portion on the side of the needle drop position in the substrate, the pressing piece extends longer toward the needle drop position than the position of the thread cutting portion, and at the start of sewing,
The thread hooking hole is overlapped at the needle drop position to lower the needle into the thread hooking hole, and the needle end of the hook is pulled down, and then the needle is raised to move the needle thread end of the needle thread into the thread hooking hole. In the process of moving the thread end in the hanging state to the upper surface of the board of the thread catching piece at the needle drop position, and hooking the upper thread at the hole edge of the thread catching hole to retreat. Then, the lower end of the upper thread is separated between the thread cutting portion of the substrate and the hole edge of the thread hooking hole, and the upper thread is clamped between the pressing piece and the hole edge of the thread hooking hole of the thread pulling piece. A sewing machine characterized by being present.
