以上説明したように、請求項１の考案は、編針体をほぼＵ字形に形成すると共 に、その編針体の両端部を先端に向かって漸次狭径にして形成したことから、該 編針体の一方の直線部に休めている編み目を他方の直線部に移行させ、他の編み 棒と他方の直線部に存する編み目とを直接編み進めることができる。したがって 、従来のほつれ止めの如く、ほつれ止めに休めた編み目をいったん他の編み棒に 移しかえることなく、直接編み始めることができ、セーターなどの編み物を迅速 に、かつ、円滑に編むことができる。 また、２つの編針体のそれぞれの編針体の直線部に休めている編み目をこの２ つの編針体を使用して編むことができることから、後ろ身頃、前身頃の肩下がり の編み目を結合させる際、従来の糸の縫着により生じる肩下がり部分の縫着線が できず、外観上すっきりとしたセーターなどの編み物を完成することができる。 さらに、本考案の編針体を２つ使用して編み物をする場合、従来の編み棒に比 べ長さが約半分以下で、かつ、編み目を置く長さは、従来の編み棒にとほぼ変わ らないため、狭い場所でも編み物をする場合、非常に使い勝手がよく、狭い場所 でも容易に編み物をすることができる。 また、請求項２の考案は、前記編針と、その編針の編針体の両端部を被蓋する 一対の編針キャップより構成することから、編針体の直線部に休める必要がある 編み目を、現に編み目が存在する編み棒から容易に移行させ、編針体の直線部に 編み目を抜落させることなく休め置くことができる。 As described above, in the invention of claim 1, the knitting needle body is formed in a substantially U-shape, and both ends of the knitting needle body are formed so as to have a diameter gradually narrowed toward the tip.
