カバー94を車種別に製造しなければならないと云う生
産を煩雑化する問題点も生じ、これらの点の解決が課題
とされるものとなっていた。

た略筒状の灯具とで成り、前記灯具は前記取付脚を前記
不透明皮膜処理部分に接着、或はフランジに係着するこ
とですることで前記空間部に配設されていることを特徴
とする車両用信号灯具を提供し、前記した従来の課題を
解決するものである。

て、この車両用信号灯1もリアウインド2の上縁部の車
室内側に設けられ、自動車の後方に向かい灯火を発生す
るものである点は従来例のものと同様であるが、本発明
により前記リアウインド2の上縁部の車室内側には第2
図に示すように自動車の幅方向に広い開口部3aを有す
るようにして不透明皮膜処理により黒色の不透明皮膜3
が設けられる。 また、同時に本発明により通常には前記リアウインド2
とルーフ4との接合部に終端部が接続されている天井部
の内張り5は前記リアウインド2に施された不透明皮膜
3の下端に例えばエンドラバー5aを介して密接され、
これにより前記リアウインド2とルーフ4と内張り5と
により空間部6が形成されるものとなっている。 本発明において前記空間部6に灯具7を組込むことで車
両用信号灯1を構成するものであり、前記灯具7は前記
開口部3aから灯光を照射可能とするように自動車の幅
方向、即ち水平方向に長尺の略筒状の透明ハウジング7
aを有するものとされ、該透明ハウジング7a内に例え
ば前記開口部3aに向かわせたLED発光素子或は白熱
電球を搭載した基板を光源7bとして収納するものとさ
れている。 同時に、前記透明ハウジング7aには取付脚7cが例え
ば上方に突出して設けられるものとなり、前記灯具7は
前記取付脚7cをリアウインド2の不透明皮膜3の施さ
れた部分に接着されることで、前記空間部6内に配設さ
れるものとなっている。 次いで、上記の構成とした本発明の車両用信号灯1の作
用効果について説明する。 先ず、前記リアウインド2とルーフ4と内張り5とによ
り形成される空間部6に灯具7を配設する構成としたこ
とで、内張り5よりも上部に灯具7が位置するものとな
り運転者からはこの車両用信号灯1が設けられているこ
とが感覚的に意識されないものとなり、この灯具7の車
室内への突出により視野が妨げられるような違和感を運
転者に与えることを防止すると同時にデザイン面でもこ
の灯具7の突出により生ずる乱れを防止する。 また、車両用信号灯1が取付けられるべき自動車の車体
形状に、例えば車種別などにより差がある場合において
も、前記灯具7の寸法形状は前記不透明皮膜3に設けら
れた開口部3aにほぼ依存するものとなるので、前記開
口部3aの形状を統一することで車種が異なる場合にも
統一化が可能となる。 更に、この第一実施例においては前記灯具7がリアウイ
ンド2に接着され一体化されているので、リアウインド
2の自動車への取付け以前に施工が可能であり、自動車
組立工程においては前記ルーフ4を含む車体へのリアウ
インド2の取付けと、内張り5の施工のみで車両用信号
灯1の取付けが完了し工数低減が可能となる。 第3図に示すもので本発明の第二実施例であり、前の第
一実施例が灯具7の取付脚7cを直接にリアウインド2
に接着していたのに対し、この第二実施例では前記ルー
フ4のリアウインド2側端部を前記空間部6に向けて延
長させてフランジ4aを形成し、前記灯具7の取付脚7
cをこのフランジ4aに固定することで前記空間部6内
に配設する構成としたものであり、この取付脚7cとフ
ランジ4aとの取付に際して、例えばブラケット8を介
するようにすることで、この第二実施例では前記リアウ
インド2及びルーフ4に如何なる形状の差を生じていた
場合にも前記ブラケット8の変更のみで対応できるもの
となり、前記灯具7の共通化を一層に推進可能なものと
する。 尚、上記した以外の部分の作用効果は前の第一実施例と
同様であるので、ここでの詳細な説明は省略する。

ものとする効果を奏するものであり、第二には前記灯具
が前記空間部内に配設され隠蔽されるものとなり、更に
その大きさも基本的には前記開口部により決定されるも
のとなるので、例えば前記開口部の大きさを共通化する
こと或はブラケットを介して取付けるなど適宜な手段を
採用することで車種間での灯具の共通化も可能となり、
コストダウンにも優れた効果を奏するものとなる。 また、例えば前記灯具をリアウインドに直接に取付ける
構成とすることで自動車の生産工程も簡素化する効果も
奏するものとなる。
