円筒体であることから、次のような難点があった。すな
わち、マスキング部材１の回転による遠心力でラテック

部だけにラテックス５が溜り易くそれを除去するための
清掃を頻繁に行わなければならなかった。ふっ素系ラテ
ックス５は、ノズル４により吹付けている間に最先に吹
付けられたものが固化してしまう程度に速乾性がある。
このため、このラテックス５はマスキング部材１表面の
一部に溜るとそれが順次固まって肥大化し易くローラ本
体２へのコーティングに支障をきたすことから、１本の
ローラ本体２のコーティングにおいてもラテックス５の
除去を数回行なわなければならない場合もある。したが

効率のよいローラ用マスキング部材を提供することを目

グ部材であり、ローラ本体２のジャーナル部（図示せ
ず）を覆蔽しうる円筒体から構成されている。この円筒
体の、ローラに対向する側の端部の外周面に、連続する
２つの円錐面11aと11bとからなる凹部11が設けられてい

４より液状のふっ素系ラテックス５を吹付けるようにす

キング部材の凹部両側の円錐面上に広がってマスキング
部材外周面の一部にのみ溜ることが防止されることとな
るので、清掃回数を少なくすることができ、コーティン
グ作業を効率よく行い得る。さらにラテックスの飛散を
