In the method for measuring a partial discharge of a live cable according to the present invention, first, a live cable 1 having a predetermined length is disposed from the A end 8 to the B end 9, and the live cable 1 near each of the A end 8 and the B end 9 is disposed. Sheath 3
Is grounded via LC parallel resonance circuits 5 and 6 as parallel resonance circuits. These LC parallel resonance circuits 5 and 6
Is a low impedance that does not pose a problem for commercial frequencies, but for signals with a single or narrow band specific frequency among the discharge pulses accompanying partial discharge occurring in the cable. Is designed to resonate at about 400KHZ. A tuning amplifier 7 that tunes to the frequency is provided at the subsequent stage of the LC parallel resonance circuit 6, and detects the partial discharge with high sensitivity to observe the insulation state of the cable 1. Further, as an application example of this measuring method, application to a live cable 10 as shown in FIG. 2 is considered. First, partial discharge at the joint 11 without a ground wire is also achieved by covering the anticorrosion layer of the joint 11 with a metal foil 12 to form a capacitor, and connecting the parallel resonant circuit 13 and the tuning amplifier 7 to the capacitor 12. It can be observed.

Since the state is observed, the partial discharge of the insulator, which occurs when an insulation failure occurs in the live cable, can be detected easily and with high sensitivity.
