Abstract

PURPOSE:To offer the past movement locus and future predicted position of a moving terminal. CONSTITUTION:The moving radio terminal 12 automatically sends a position information signal only at the time of a request to acquire position information from a control station 17, but also at every constant period of time. This position information signal is received by plural intermediate station 14 and totalized by a base station 13. The base station calculates the terminal position from their intensity difference and stores information on it in a control station 17 in order. The control station 17 once receiving a service request from a position informing service subscriber offer the past movement locus and future predicted position on the basis of the stored time-series position information in addition to the current position of the terminal.

In FIG. 6, each mobile radio terminal is provided with an individual identification code (hereinafter referred to as an ID code) and is registered in the base station 13 in advance. Mobile wireless terminal 12
When searching for the position of, the base station 13 transmits a signal including an ID code unique to the mobile radio terminal via the intermediate station 14. The mobile wireless terminal 12 transmits a response signal when it receives a signal containing its own unique ID code. The intermediate station 14 receives the response signal from the mobile radio terminal 12 and transmits it to the base station 13 via a fixed transmission line, and the base station 13 sends the response signal from the mobile radio terminal 12 transmitted from the intermediate station 14. The position of the mobile wireless terminal 12 is searched based on the response signal. Therefore, when obtaining the movement trajectory of a specific terminal or predicting the future position based on the movement trajectory, it is necessary for the base station 13 to perform transmission / reception at regular intervals and store the reception result in the storage device 16. there were.

In FIG. 7, a signal containing the position information of the ID code individually assigned to each intermediate station is transmitted to the intermediate station 24.
The mobile wireless terminal 22 receives a signal including this position information when passing near the intermediate station 24, and the position information is sequentially stored in the storage device 26 in the mobile wireless terminal 22. When a position search request is generated, a calling signal including an ID code unique to the terminal is transmitted from the base station 23 to the mobile radio terminal 22, and the terminal receives this calling signal and detects that the terminal code matches the own ID code. The location information that was stored at the time of sending was sent. In the conventional system as described above, the base station or the intermediate station transmits a signal containing the ID code unique to the terminal or a signal containing the position information of the ID code assigned to each intermediate station. It must be transmitted constantly at regular intervals, and in order to search the position of the mobile wireless terminal, two processes are required to first transmit and receive the response, and the mobile wireless terminal voluntarily sends the processing. It is inefficient compared to the method of receiving a signal including position information.

In response to a command from the control station, the base station device transmits to the mobile radio terminal a position search signal containing an ID code peculiar to the terminal or a group to which the terminal belongs via the intermediate station device. When the mobile radio terminal receives this calling signal and detects that it matches the ID code of its own or the group to which it belongs, it transmits a response signal containing its own ID code.

The mobile radio terminal 12 transmits not only a response to the position search signal but also a signal including its own ID code at regular time intervals. Since the control station also sequentially stores the positional information based on the signal for every fixed time, the past movement locus can be easily known. Further, by processing this with an arithmetic circuit, it is possible to calculate a future predicted position, so that it is possible to highly accurately respond to a customer's inquiry about delivery time and the like. Since the calculation rule can be changed, it can be changed to a more accurate one by reflecting the rule of thumb such as the day of the week and the time of day.

As described above, according to the present invention, since the mobile radio terminal automatically transmits a signal for position identification at fixed time intervals, it is necessary to obtain a past movement locus or a future predicted position. However, it is not necessary for the control station operator to send the position search signal one after another, and the work load of the operator can be reduced. Further, since the processing is performed only by receiving the signal automatically sent from the terminal, it is more efficient than performing the two processings of the position search signal transmission and the response signal reception.

1. In a method of identifying the position of a mobile radio terminal based on the signal strength difference between the mobile radio terminals received by a plurality of intermediate stations, each mobile terminal receives a position information acquisition request from a control station. Not only at this time, but also by automatically transmitting a signal for position identification at regular time intervals, and the control station sequentially storing the position information in time series, so that the current position of the mobile terminal and past movement A communication system characterized by providing a trajectory and an expected position in the future.
