Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent intrusion of water while enhancing the ventilation efficiency by inclining the upper surface of an upper cover having a bleeder at the top thereof and applying a waterproof cover, having a vent at a position shifted from the bleeder, to the upper cover from above. CONSTITUTION:The warmed air in an electric joint box ascends along the inclining surface of an upper cover 50 and passed through a bleeder 54 provided at the top thereof. It is then diffused (arrow A) to the outside through a vent 56 made through a waterproof cover 52. When water intrudes through the bleeder 56 of the waterproof cover 52, the water drops down from the inclining upper surface before it reaches the vent 54 provided at the top of the upper cover 50 and then it is drained (arrow B). This structure prevents intrusion of water into the electric joint box positively thus enhancing the ventilation efficiency.
